Skippy's Place

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Cricut New Arrival Train Card for a baby boy. I have made this card before for his big brother and the parents requested another card to match. I just LOVE how the Explore can cut and draw so efficiently! Look how beautiful the writing looks! I wanted to be able to cut separate train carriages in different colours without cutting the whole train in each colour. Maybe one day they will allow the images on the app to be filled with a pattern to help with planning a layout! I slic...

Skippy's Place: Birthday wishes from Eeyore

http://skippysplace.blogspot.com/2015/04/birthday-wishes-from-eeyore.html

Thursday, April 9, 2015. Birthday wishes from Eeyore. My best friend LOVES Eeyore so I made this cutie from Cricut Pooh and Friends to put on her birthday card. What else do you give a bestie? An Eeyore Hallmark Itty Bitty of course! I used Close To My Heart cardstock as always to cut on my Cricut Explore. The CTMH cardstock cuts like butter and. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Skippy's Place: Simple Wedding card

http://skippysplace.blogspot.com/2015/04/simple-wedding-card.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I was going to make a card with a favourite stamped image, but I messed up my first attempt and then spilled my blending solution, so I whipped up this simple card on the iPad Design Space app for the Cricut Explore. I sliced the ampersand out of the Kraft cardstock and inlaid the white cardstock to leave the card smooth for the names to sit flat on the finished card. Friday, July 31, 2009. I made this for DD's friend at school. she's turning 5 and DD picked out her present. Bratz dolls and a Bratz convertible car. I used Inkscape to convert a Bratz colouring book image and then cut the image in SCAL on my Cricut. Used SCAL to cut the name in MS Script MT Bold font. Background silver paper is embossed with Love Language Cuttlebug embossing folder. Thanks for looking and happy crafting! Skippy's Place: Welcome baby Jack!

http://skippysplace.blogspot.com/2015/04/welcome-baby-jack.html

Thursday, April 9, 2015. I was asked to make a baby card for an adorable baby boy called Jack.I love when the baby name is a short one because it can be big and bold and I get to play around with colour and patterns. I used Doodlebug patterned papers from my stash of baby papers and Close To My Heart cardstock for the base and mats. The letters JACK are cut on my Cricut Explore and I used the Cricut Mickey Font cartridge. The small letters are cut using Memory Box die Alphabet Soup.

Sunday, December 2, 2012. Mike C., Greg L. and I went out to ride 5 Miles of Hell (5MOH) last Thursday. It was about 20 miles of trail total when you include the entry and exit. But it took us most of the daylight hours to complete. The vivid colors of the rock against a blue sky assured that the cameras were perpetually out, consuming much of our time. Dry and dusty conditions all day long. The technical aspect of 5MOH is relentless and unmatched. A nice challenge if your into that kind of thing. Bon an...
