Monday, June 15, 2015. History of Launceston for Kids - {Chalmers}. We have started to do some local History, right here in Launceston! There are some wonderful places of interest just oozing with historic goodness! For our first outing we went to. Chalmers" which is now Walker Designs. We had the very groovy Matt give us a tour of the old building and showed us all of what Chalmers has to offer! You can read more about the history of the place HERE. Which looks out to the Chalmers Hall across the road.

Friday, September 23, 2011. We'll always remember that day! Isn't it always the way that when bad things happen you can later look back and, well make a good story of it! This is what happened on this particular day! We had packed up and left Burrum River ready for a 2 hr drive North. We were only 10 minutes down the road when all of a sudden a loud screech sounded, followed with a bang and the caravan dragging behind us! We quickly started to pull over! It's only a flat/blown tyre everyone, it's ok!

Monday, August 31, 2015. Arctic and Antarctica Unit study. We have been doing HEAPS this term on SNOW! With such a wonderful theme I opened it up to studying and looking at the Arctic and Antarctica. So with the older ones doing projects and research on places with the most snow fall and the like I had a little set up for the younger girls to play with. Sapphire has LOVED this! Monday, July 13, 2015. With the holidays upon us we finished up the term with another theme night for our country study. This month we were studying Venezuela! It was our brother in laws birthday so we surprised him by taking him to another country and treating him with their best and tastiest meals. Friday, May 22, 2015. Saying goodbye and saying hello! We had Thea for nearly a year. she was our dear little pussy cat and we got her from the RSPCA. I rang the vet and we were there in the hour. Our amazing vet was totally brilliant, Thea had been hit in the head. her eyes were of different sizes, she had lost her front main tooth, her front leg was fractured at the shoulder. she was in a lot of pain. we had to say Goodbye. She's gone, she's died! She was hit by a car! What type of car? She said to me.
