Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The nanny did leave us for a new job. We tried to find a new nanny, but being in the far reaches of the suburbs is not a hotbed for nannies. So, we're sending the girls back to the hoity-toity daycare that E and A used to attend! So far, the new situation is going well. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. At the beginning of the year, I jumped on the photo-a-day bandwagon, and decided to try to take an Instagram photo a day. It didn't last for long, because let's face it.my life is pretty repetitive/boring AND I get pretty busy and forget to take pictures. But, I did find a Photo a Day Challenge. That gives you a theme for each day, so I'm going to try that for February. Anyway, here's what I have for January. I actually took a lot more pictures, but I just didn't convert.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012. While the Big Girls were doing their homework last night. Someone else was perusing my cookbooks. She loves her some table food.perhaps she was finding ideas for her next meal? Monday, January 23, 2012. We were long overdue for a trip up to Philly, seeing as Char-baby had never been there. We headed up on Friday evening after school, and (THANKFULLY! Had a relatively ride up traffic-wise. But it was Char-baby and John's first trip. Good times were had by all. The end of an era.

Last night, while discussing evaporation of the pool’s water, Hadden said “…and then the water disapperates…” I didn’t have the heart to correct him. March 9, 2012. After a potentially dance-damaging trip to the urgent care. Haven and Josh headed out to her fourth Girl Scout father-daughter dance. This year’s theme was Hollywood. (The bandaged finger is sure to be the talk of the town.). Oh, yes, Katelyn gave me the run down (including that the splint was white, but big) when she got home. Laquo; school pictures. Sleep with the fishes (or sea turtles). January 19, 2013. Our Girl Scout troop spent an awesome night at the Virginia Beach Aquarium. I can’t believe our luck in getting to sleep in front of the huge sea turtle tank. We hunkered down at a reasonable hour, but it was so meditative to just watch the turtles that it was hard to actually close our eyes and fall asleep. And you can’t go to Virginia BEACH and not hit the beach! Our mythology fanatic loved this! Posted in field trips.
