Thursday, June 11, 2015. Over vandaag valt niet veel te vertellen. Zwaar bewolkt, regen maar geen onaangename temperatuur (19 gr). Daarom vandaag in Soustons bij Leclerc boodschappen gedaan. O.a. een handig vierwegstekkertje gekocht dat ik bij ons nog niet gezien heb. 't Is niet echt een reden om naar zuidwest-Frankrijk te rijden maar toch :-) En elk jaar staan we weer versteld van de uitstalling verse vis in die hypermarché. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Berck Plage - Castricum. Ons hotel in Berck Plage. Fransen zijn heus geen kwaaie mensen, het is ook geen bijzonder lawaaiig volk. Maar het valt ons al jaren, en dus ook vanmorgen om een uur of 6 weer op, dat er een bepaald slag Fransen is dat er kennelijk lol in heeft om zo vroeg luidkeels met collega's in werkoverleg te treden. Saturday, June 13, 2015. Vieux Boucau - Le marché. Olijven in alle soorten en maten. Hoewel we hier niet in Nyons zijn, is er een ruim aanbod van olijven. Voor wie dacht dat er maar één soort/smaak olijf bestaat, die moet hier maar eens komen kijken en proeven. Naast voedsel is ook de sector 'textiel' ruim vertegenwoordigd. Jeanne vergrijpt zich daar regelmatig aan maar vandaag niet. Mede daardoor kunnen we vanavond weer dineren :-). Morgen gaan we definitief noordwaarts, maar eens zien waar we uitkomen.

Inmiddels hebben we ons einddoel verlegd naar Berck Plage en na zo’n 600 km karren en een dijk van een file in Rouan, komen we daar aan. Niet in de regen maar met een stralende zon en ruim 21 graden. Naar de kust gaan is dus een goede gok gebleken. We hebben een hotelkamer met vue mer. Inmiddels hebben we besloten ons jaarlijks bezoek aan De Panne (voor de francofielen onder de lezers: La Panne. Dus daarom zal het vandaag wel regenen. En echt warm is het ook niet, 16-17 graden. Vast als voorbereiding op onze terugkeer? Vanuit de hotelbar, daar moet je geen al te imposante voorstelling van hebben, zien we nu toch een waterig zonnetje schijnen. Vooralsnog troosten wij ons met een glaasje rosé en een assiette. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Vieux Boucau - Poitiers. Spelmoment Stade (wit) - Clermont,. Geen sport voor mietjes. Op zondag over de autoroute naar Poitiers is vanuit VB een peulenschil: 400 km in bijna 4 uur. In VB scheen de zon nog een beetje maar na Bordeaux was het gedaan met het mooie deel van de dag. Het hoosde zelfs zo dat ook Fransen zich aan de regenlimiet van 110 km/u hielden. En dan regent het echt! Notre Dame la Grande. Morgen weer verder noordwaarts met hopelijk wat beter weer.
