Friday, December 07, 2012. We haven't been in town for the last few years for Thanksgiving.(we were in the mountains. to see those posts, click HERE. But this year we were! We celebrated with folks that live in our city, and folks that live somewhere else and came in town for the weekend :). The kiddos had fun playing at the park :). The guys played some football :). American Football :) (it's American Thanksgiving so you have to have some sort of American Football right? We had TONS of food!

Monday, February 11, 2013. Comic Con 2013 just ended. It was a fun one this year. This was the 3rd Annual Comic Con here. We've been to it all 3 years. It's getting bigger each year! I think they grew out of their venue this year.it was soooo crowded! Here's me imitating "Superkudi" :). Aashini and me :). For the Love of Comics. Some guys that were dressed up. the guy on the left isn't in his full attire. He won the CosPlay contest that day. he won a trip to Dubai to their Comic Con! Follow me on Twitter.

Monday, April 8, 2013. Annual Day - Presidium - Aashini. In December Aashini had her school Annual Day! Yes, I'm way behind in posting! Her grade was doing the "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme. They did a fun pirate dance :) Here's Aashini in her Pirate costume :). The program started off with a famous political leader (who was really late) that came and did a speech to kick it off. See all the Secret Service guys? There were a ton of them! The older kids band performed the school song :) (Click HERE.

Saturday, May 25, 2013. Here's a pic of Aashini that I took just a couple of hours ago :). This morning didn't go according to my plans. We were planning on going canoeing this morning. Aashini normally gets up at around 6:45 AM (no matter what! In the car on the way there, we would ask her to move her foot and she could slightly move it. I would ask her to squeeze my hand but she couldn't do that. She couldn't talk either (but she did try to). She also had a normal temperature which is a little worrying.

Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Comic Con - Day 2 - The Kiddos. The kiddos love Comic Con! They love getting dressed up the most :) haha! On this day, the girls got a little more creative with their costumes. Diya wanted to be Mayday (Spidergirl). her outfit cracked me up! She said: "I want to be Spidergirl. but I don't want to wear those pants! So she improvised :) haha! Aashini wanted to be Princess Leia (even though she has no idea who that is! Diya wasn't into drawing. here she is enjoying herself :).

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Freedom Fighter - Rani Lakshmibai. The other week at school, the kids were supposed to come to school dressed like a Freedom Fighter. We decided to dress Aashini up as the super cool Rani Lakshmi Bai! Doesn't she look tough? This is a picture of the original Rani Lakshmi Bai. She was a queen and one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She is a symbol of resistance to the rule of the British East India Company. This picture makes me laugh :). Out on the Town.
