The Southeast Family Resource Center was established in 1991 as the Southeast Coordinating Council. The center itself wasn't named a center until 1993 then it was called the Southeast Center Serving Children with Special Needs (SOECS). Later years the name was changed to The Southeast Family Resource Center (SFRC).
