Open the Door: August 2008
http://thedooraintclosed.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. What the Heck Have I Done? Well obviously I have done something! Most of the time I can't access Google or my Blog. The websites just will not pull up. I've checked my firewall. No blocking there. I've loosened up my filters. Don't think the problem is there. I am really confused on this one. Usually I can figure it out or reverse a goof-up, but I can't find the darned thing. Oh.did the system restore, too. Labels: Grrrrrr and ugh. Friday, August 15, 2008. Subscribe in a reader.

Open the Door: September 2008

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Texas Armadillo or "Possum on a Half Shell". Lilly, this is an armadillo. Lovely, freaky creature isn't it? Armadillos are often found in the road with tire tracks down the middle of their body. No, I'm not kidding. Very common roadkill. I think it's because they're nocturnal and hard to see at night. It's certainly not because they're slow. Trust me, those little boogers can run! Why did the chicken cross the road? To show the armadillo that it could be done. That's just the...

Open the Door: Ear Mites Are a Pain
http://thedooraintclosed.blogspot.com/2009/10/ear-mites-are-pain.html
Thursday, October 15, 2009. Ear Mites Are a Pain. My hubby noticed that our Manx cat, Jake, was holding his left ear flat. He thought Jake might have had a stroke. I had to go give Jakester. Hubby took him to the vet this morning. (I'm sure that was a fun ride with Jake squalling all the way.been there, done that.) Sure enough.ear mites. Ugh.nasty! Imagine a bunch of bugs crawling around in your ear. I know I'd go insane! I'm sure they will have missed him. Prefers Her Fantasy Life. Subscribe in a reader.

Open the Door: October 2008
http://thedooraintclosed.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Last night I was sitting on the couch surfing the net, and I heard this eerie howl. The hair on my neck stood straight up. Coyotes! There has been a pack of them roaming nearby the past month or so. Every once in awhile we'll get a glimpse of a couple crossing the back pasture. One day we saw about five going into the woods on the place next to ours. I've been in the coyote range all my life, but I don't remember them ever getting up that close except in hard winters. I gues...

Open the Door: Moving On
http://thedooraintclosed.blogspot.com/2012/05/moving-on.html
Saturday, May 12, 2012. The hubby and I put a contract on a house in the town we lived before building our dream place. We've come full circle. Makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. I'll be glad to be going home, and yet I will miss the country life. The hummingbirds, trees, dirt roads, and our porch. Why does life have to be so hard sometimes? Open the Door: November 2008
http://thedooraintclosed.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. It's been a long and tiring day, but at least we're over one of the hurdles in his recovery. Rehab is going to be grueling for Cado, but he's a pretty determined kid. I'm optimistic that he's going to be back stronger than ever. He's got a state title in track to win, and I have no doubt that he will do just that. Labels: Being A Mom. Thursday, November 13, 2008.
