He goes through execution plans to show the differences with partitioned and non-partitioned data and the costs of each. Of course there are examples that you can try out yourselves. He also writes about some gotchas and offers tips so that you can achieve a successful partitioning implementation . Thank you for reading this week. Have a good one.

Data Realized – The Blog. 8211; SQL Server – Ramblings – Musings –. As data volumes continue to expand and partitioning is further adopted in SQL Server 2008 the lack of control over statistics at the partition level will become a larger issue for more companies. Software Architecture, Development and Design Thoughts. Linking Changesets to Work Items in TFS (after the fact). Lately, I’ve had a few occasions in Team Foundation Server, where I’ve checked in a bunch of code and forgotten to associate the files with a work item. Not a huge deal, but I like to have my changes grouped-up by the bug or work item, so it’s been worthwhile for me to make the association. I hope this saves you some time and searching.nn1.
