Spam spam spam spam. Spam spam spam spam. Day in the life. A month or two ago I added a captcha to anonymous posters because I was really tired of the ads and crap that were hitting my journal. I think it slowed down the flow of crap, but it hasn't stopped, so today I limited my journal to be only postable to by registered users. I don't believe I've had a legitimate "anonymous" post yet, so this shouldn't hinder anyone. If the spam continues, I may need to restrict it further, though. I like to think th...

False Rape Reports - Jim C. Hines
http://jimhines.livejournal.com/519379.html
It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, a goblin rang out. Jul 21st, 2010 at 9:30 AM. After my Rape and the Police. Post, I said I’d do a follow-up on false reports of rape. I do this for two reasons. False reports do happen, albeit rarely. Rare or not, they’re worth discussing. By posting this discussion here, the next time I talk about rape and someone starts to derail the conversation by talking about false accusations, I can redirect the commenter to this post. What qualifies as an unfounded report?

Kristin with an I (. Kristin with an I. On what creatures do and do not belong in Middle-earth here:. 5 Vampires do belong in Middle-earth. but not in the way you think they do. So don't even try or you will mess up. Thank you. 14 If Tolkien didn't mention a long-lost race of elves, don't you dare put one in. That means you, moon-elf lovers. The others are quite funny, too, but I didn't want to copy the entire post. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

The Game Is On! Alone - Sherlock (BBC) AU. Jan 16th, 2012 at 7:19 PM. Spoilers for "The Reichenbach Fall". Un-beta-ed. I came up with it while taking a nap, so forgive me if it leaves more questions than answers. That's just the name of the game, though, isn't it, with this show? AU John visits his therapist and discovers more than he's ready to. John blinked, frowning briefly, "You want to hear me say it? Bloody shrinks. The most obvious of answers and they need. You to say it. For your own good. He shu...

Monthly Bookpost, April 2015 - The Dendarii Chronicles
http://admnaismith.livejournal.com/462275.html
So Much Naismith, Its All Over Your Screen! Monthly Bookpost, April 2015. May 5th, 2015. The Anatomy of Melancholy, by Robert Burton. How much altered from that he was! This is the first of several Huge Motherfracking Tomes I have on my list for the year, and so far the most enjoyable 17th century work I've read this year. But I'm crazy; it's not for everybody. If you're familiar with it at all, it may be from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. See last month's Bookpost); both are essentially self-help books, ...

Lair of the Lost Girl. Jun 11th, 2015 at 9:15 PM. Apologies to those of you seeing this plastered across multiple social media sites; sometimes you just gotta crow. But I also figured that doing something like that would be impossible. Id need more money than I could pull together; Id need to learn so much; Id need so many resources that I could never manage to get; Id never be able to afford to try. About 3 months ago I opened my doors, metaphorically speaking, and started taking clients. I still have o...

Kids at (fair) play - mbumby
http://mbumby.livejournal.com/106272.html
Kids at (fair) play. Kids at (fair) play. Day in the life. The other day I saw something that really surprised me. There were two kids, one tickling the other mercilessly. At some point, the one said "stop! And the other did. Ok, that surprised me a little - but that's not what really got me. After she'd gotten her breath back a little bit, the ticklee said "go! 13th-Aug-2013 07:09 pm (UTC). It amazes me that there are people who find being tickled pleasant. It makes me want to start punching. My father ...

The 70s: nice decade to be born in, but I wouldn't want to live through it - The world can be yours. You just have to want it badly enough. 02:24 pm May 30th, 2008. The 70s: nice decade to be born in, but I wouldn't want to live through it. Apologies to those of you who did, and I'm sure you're stronger for it. And keep hitting random quotes until you get five that resonate with you, and post them to your journal. Praising what is lost makes the remembrance dear. William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616).
