Adventures in Orthodoxy: September 2012
http://adventuresinorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 13, 2012. How many have fretted when their sons and daughters have sullied their childhood innocence with youthful rebellions and sinful follies? And how many have interceded on their behalf, approaching the throne of God for their children’s sake, to beg for the forgiveness of sins and a right relationship with God? Saturday, March 21, 2009. Why I'm Catholic Now. Dear friends and family,. Could I ever really find the truth in a specific church, creed, or interpretation of the Bible? Thank you for sharing your (unusual) journey. May God continue to be with you and reveal His will for your life. We love you and have good memories of you. Lord willing, we can keep in touch! Aunt Jo (Ben's Aunt). I just want to thank you for your blog. I found it through Google the morning after being received into full communion in...

Adventures in Orthodoxy: Argentina!
http://adventuresinorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2008/11/argentina.html
Saturday, November 22, 2008. Argentina, when compared with Paraguay, is a really big country to get to know. For that reason, along with my limited time and pocketbook, I chose to visit only three major cities in the middle part of the country. Sunday in Buenos Aires I went to San Telmo, a neighborhood world-famous for its antiques shops and street fair. I bought a small $10 religious painting a couple centuries old that had been ripped out of a church in Peru. Monday I arrived in Córdoba, a beautiful co...

Adventures in Orthodoxy: I Thank God
http://adventuresinorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2008/12/i-thank-god.html
Friday, December 12, 2008. Thank God, my flights from South America went well. Not a single piece of luggage lost or damaged, not a single flight delayed or connection missed. I arrived in Miami for a splendid visit with Mrs. Moxley, then continued on to Nashville to meet up with Luke. After a short visit to Music City, we flew northward to meet up with our family for Thanksgiving Day. Thank God, Sunday was spent congregating with Georgetown Baptist Church. I was invited to sing in the choir once aga...

Adventures in Orthodoxy: October 2008
http://adventuresinorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 10, 2008. Lord, Increase My Faith. It was easy to come here: listless after university, seeking adventure, eager for foreign lands, Paraguay was a good and logical choice. Girls swooned, guys admired, people prayed. Lord, increase my faith. My family was a wreck, my college friends spread out across the globe, and the times were changing. I had no home. It was good for me to leave. Lord, increase my faith. Lord, increase my faith. Lord, increase my faith. Lord, increase my faith. At the e...

http://adventuresinorthodoxy.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 25, 2008. Goin´ on a Jetplane. Bought my tickets today. Lord willing I´ll be home December 9 after a brief stay in Miami and Nashville. Saturday, August 16, 2008. Holy smokes- this new president has spent no time in showing his real colors. Lugo´s first act as president: touring Paraguay with Hugo Chavez. Heaven have mercy. Ascenion and Assumption in Asuncion. Fe and mission on earth were completed. In. Sixty-one years of corrupt one-party rule by the formerly dictatorial. I arrived at 8:3...

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Impertinent Youthful Ratiocinations on the Falling American Economy. Today I saw that the stock market crashed. The US economy is in terrible shape, and my mind immediately goes to several impertinent thoughts:. 1 The US is reaping what it’s sown. 2 I’m glad I don’t have any stocks or a 401K plan to worry about. 3 I’m kind of thankful I don’t have any money at all. 7 Another Depression could serve the US well. We have, after all, become proud consumerist fat cats. My ...8 I h...
