After an overnight flight to Dubai we got picked up at the airport and drove over to Dibba where I’ll be based for the next seven months. The part of Dibba where I am is about a 5 minute drive over the Oman border, and so to get to the big supermarket we actually have to cross the border to the United Arab Emirates. It’s really hot here! Gadgets and gizmos galore! Just another week of work.

I’ve been doing a lot of mountain biking recently and routes have ranged from a gentle cycle tour around Dibba to a downhill dash down the wadi, navigating corner on a steep hill and not hitting cars that fly round the corners. Our hard work has paid off though now that we have a completed track (short and long course! Testing out the jump. Swapping the mountain bikes for something a bit more local.
