I asked myself what makes a great running event (and how can continue to improve Take the Lake 5K? I came up with a short list of things I consider. What would you add to this starting point checklist:. The course – Interesting? Convenience – Is it close by? Easy to park, get in…and get out? Refreshments – After (and perhaps before? Some years – we run out of donuts before the last runner crosses the line – and the fresh fruit is virtually untouched.
