A Letter From The Editor. October 31, 2007. I’ve taken the decision to close the section down because we’re running a model that is pretty much impossible to sustain. At optimum output, we’d be producing four blurbs on 20 songs every week, 80 blurbs a week in total. To expect that kind of turnaround on a regular basis from a completely unpaid staff is unrealistic at best, and that we even made it this far is kind of amazing. By and large, I’m damn proud of this place. The video of the song is here. It...

The Comfort Station: September 2006
http://thecomfortstation.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Friday, September 29, 2006. The Legion, Old Street. 3 Flushes Out Of 5 (4 if they sort the lights out). Oh, and if Fields come to a toilet venue (look a pun! Near you, go see them. Ace in a chinstrokey way. No more music reviewing from me, I promise. Tuesday, September 26, 2006. Trash Palace, Wardour Street W1. The toilets in Trash Palace are certa...

No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Tuesday, January 16, 2007. 93 Feet East, Brick Lane. There's a certain amount of pressure comes with venturing out with people who know I write this blog; they expect that I'm going to have witty and incisive remarks to make about every toilet I go into, or at the very least an opinion. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I don't want to say I get ...

The Comfort Station: October 2006
http://thecomfortstation.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Tuesday, October 17, 2006. Ghetto, Falconberg Court, W1. Who knew this updating lark would be so difficult, well I did, but it's only because no-one has come along to buy me internet access at my flat yet. Offers are welcome, as are offers of shiny new flats. The floor is little more than a big fuck off puddle. I suppose they should get some credit...

The Comfort Station: Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street
http://thecomfortstation.blogspot.com/2007/03/soho-theatre-21-dean-street.html
No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Monday, March 26, 2007. Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street. Woo, look, culture! Yes Fiona's been to the theatre, not proper theatre mind, just some bloke rambling on about how he used to be an alcoholic. Still it made a change from me sitting in the pub rambling on about being an alcoholic and it gave me a chance to investigate a new genre of toilet.

No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Tuesday, January 02, 2007. The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch. Ok, these toilets are shit. You know they're shit. I know they're shit. The Comfort Station: Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, err Hoxton Square

No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Tuesday, January 02, 2007. Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, err Hoxton Square. There is a fabulous full length mirror, but the positioning is more than a little inconvenient. It's to the left of the sinks, so if there's anyone else washing their hands they're either in your way or you're likely to get in theirs. It really does frustrate me when thes...At fi...

http://thecomfortstation.blogspot.com/2007/03/disappointed.html
No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Wednesday, March 28, 2007. So I was all set to bring you two slightly more high brow posts in quick succession, but my plans were thwarted, when on visiting the facilities in the Royal Albert Hall I found that they are the same generic toilets you get in every large arena / stadium type venue. Gutted. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bradleys Sp...

No-one wants to know my opinions on music or tv or celebrities, so I get to what's really important - the state of the ladies toilets in venues around London. Tuesday, November 21, 2006. Strong Rooms, Curtain Road, EC2. Ok, ok it's been a while, I've visited loads of toilets and taken pictures on my phone and everything, but it taken the good people at Propertop. To say nice things about this effort (albeit on a thread about someone else's blog. Which is ace incidentally) for me to get the fuck on with it.
