It's the story of a pregnant teenage girl, two lonely teachers, a pair of old bachelor brothers, and two young boys abandoned by their mother. I listened to Plainsong on audio last year and liked it very much. I thought the title very well-chosen, as his writing is very lyrical and rhythmic. My cozy book nook.
