Losing the Thread: February 2008
http://losing-the-thread.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 29 February 2008. I want to post a link to Joy Nash's You Tube video "A Fat Rant", since I can't post the actual vid here. Http:/ uk.youtube.com/watch? Joy has a really good point to make about the way overweight people are regarded. I saw it on Sister Decadence's MySpace blog and had to add a comment. This is an amended and expanded version of what I said there:. Joy is SO right. She might be technically overweight. but she's bloody gorgeous. Sometimes an 18 depending on fit and style, but I'm f...

Losing the Thread: June 2014
http://losing-the-thread.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 5 June 2014. Here we go again. I love the school I'm working at, I love the class I work in. I get on really really well with the class teacher. But it's too far, and it's only a temporary post in any case, and it runs out at the end of August. Please, Universe, can we do this? I've had enough of coming to the end of the school year with nothing to move on to but JSA, itty bitty badly paid supply jobs and pointless assfuckery by the job centre. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tea on the Moon. Proba...

Sunday, 20 July 2008. A Grand Pagan Day Out. Yesterday I was at Pagancon in Preston. I got a lift there with my friend Linda. Also travelling with us was Chris, another friend of Linda who was doing a stall at Pagancon, selling handcrafted wands and staves. Pagancon is a fabulous Pagan day out with brilliant stalls, talks and workshops. For the full rundown and review, you can have a look at The Radcliffe Moot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Losing the Thread: June 2011

Sunday, 5 June 2011. Three Chickens Minus One. I kind of lost heart blogging about our lovely chickens after we lost Rosie. This is what I put on Facebook after she died - it took me a week before I could bring myself to post a note about it on there - and I use FB nearly every day! Sadly, last week one of our three ladies died. When I got home from work. Seán said he'd kept an eye on her on Thursday, and she'd seemed a little better, eating and squabbling with the others for pomegranate seeds. She d...

Losing the Thread: October 2014
http://losing-the-thread.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 13 October 2014. We spoke about this back in June. That was four months ago. I'm still in need of a good job in a nice, local school - preferably a non-religious one, or one that's accepting of Pagan borderline agnostic weirdos like me. Being on JSA and temping sucks. I've had the chance to work in some lovely schools, and some less lovely ones. I have a clearer idea of where I'd be happy. Dear Universe, I trust you. And, dear Universe,. If this career isn't meant for me,. View my complete profile.

Losing the Thread: November 2008
http://losing-the-thread.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 10 November 2008. Public lack of Conveniences. It took us two hours to get home from Bolton on Saturday night. It's not like we were travelling particularly late, but it shouldn't have taken that long to get home. We caught one bus from Crompton. Way into the centre of Bolton so we'd be able to get a 95 bus home (it drops us off much closer than the 524). If we'd had a car, the problem we faced would not have arisen as we'd have been home in 15 minutes. We then had to walk the rest of the way hom...

Losing the Thread: September 2010
http://losing-the-thread.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 9 September 2010. Last Wednesday, I found our first "egg" in the henhouse. It didn't really look like an egg. It didn't have a shell, but was a soft, rubbery, vaguely ovoid mass that had something that looked like a bit of scrumpled up paper attached to it. Yuck! Saturday was the first day they had the grit mixed in with the feed. Saturday 4th September was when we got our first proper egg! Here's to lots more eggies from our three ladies.
