Mustard Seeds: March 2011
http://courtneywhittier.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A journey of faith. It is certainly spring break. This week we have 150 people serving with us at Mission of Hope. That amount of people can be overwhelming at times, especially for those of us working with teams, but it’s also absolutely incredible to have so many with a passion to serve. Our dinning center is packed every meal and we have teams going in all directions during the day doing different projects. My first day at Leveque before houses were built. Mia and two of her sisters. Life as i know it.

http://haitiisinmyheart.blogspot.com/2011/01/one-year-later.html
Haiti is in my Heart. Friday, January 28, 2011. Wowan entire year already gone.it's all a blur. A part of me can't believe it, and another part of me thinks that it's been 3 years. So, now for an update on the past month! I got back to Haiti from Christmas vacation on January 3rd, and hit the ground running! We've had teams non-stop, some glitches along the way (when does that ever not happen? It's just crazy good. With the dry season back and the one year anniversary passing, I've been having flash back...

Mustard Seeds: firsts.
http://courtneywhittier.blogspot.com/2011/05/firsts.html
A journey of faith. This past month has been an extreme amount of firsts. I guess I could say that about the last 4 months, but this last month has been extra unordinary. Most I have loved and a few I would love to never experience again. So here they are in no particular order…. We had a team bring several rockets for the kids to help build and then set off. Most kids here have heard of rockets but never seen them. The kid’s reactions were priceless. They LOVED it! Got to be a tourist in Haiti. This is ...

The Sooner State and Starfish: August 2012
http://amycenea.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
The Sooner State and Starfish. Sunday, August 12, 2012. Is the summer really almost over? It has gone by so fast. Looking back at week 1 of VBS, honestly I remember thinking it was going to be a long summer, but that isn’t the case at all! VBS has been so much fun and I look forward to the final two weeks (equally 8 weeks total). The first four weeks of VBS was very focused on reaching the “every child” part of the vision. We averaged 800 different. Kids each week between the 2 different campuses. After ...

The Sooner State and Starfish. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Church of Hope - Leveque! 8221; Within a few minutes we saw men carrying wooden benches our direction. I was able to introduce myself to a few people and even learned how to sign “Madam Ruben”. All your soul, and all your mind.” It doesn’t say we must love the Lord by singing the best, preaching the loudest, or praying the longest…it says to love with all your heart. Mustard Seeds: summertime.
http://courtneywhittier.blogspot.com/2011/10/summertime.html
A journey of faith. It is officially the end of summer here in Haiti. School started last week. It was supposed to start the first week of September, but due to the President it was pushed back a month. When I think back to the beginning of June (and even into most of May), I remember how overwhelmed I felt. How the thought of organizing, planning and running a VBS in Haiti literally frightened me. Do you ever find it funny when you look back at yourself? The relationships that were formed during the pro...
