Where everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies! Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. November 11, 2011. I thought I’d take a break from the Hecock novel and do a little work on “I Had/Have a Pony”. (I still have not decided on the title… if it should be past or present tense. I’m leaning towards past because the “I” in the title refers to Isaiah, not as a first person statement.). Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). November 3, 2011. I just found...

Thompson Graphx: January 2010
http://thompsongraphx.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Editorial illustrations, graphx and fine art. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Few designers actually get recognition in the world of book publishing, but thankfully Molly Leach seems to be getting at least a little of it. Molly is the brilliant designing mind behind many children's books including The Stinky Cheese Man. We're used to books breaking the rules these days, but The Stinky Cheese Man. Link provided below.). The interesting part of the story of The Stinky Cheese Man. The illustrator, so they were...

Editorial illustrations, graphx and fine art. Thursday, January 20, 2011. The gift of a Web site: Priceless. So for Christmas, the present I gave that made the biggest splash was a Web site I built for my husband. He's a potter, a sculptor and a painter, and the site was designed to showcase his work. The gift included a domain name and perpetual updates. He's never had a Web site before and was so impressed with the idea that I could have gotten anything I wanted for about a week. Which didn't really fly.

Thompson Graphx: November 2010
http://thompsongraphx.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Editorial illustrations, graphx and fine art. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. If I've ever said anything bad about Steve Jobs, I want to take it back now. Belched up a huge hair ball. And decided now would be a good time to never, ever allow itself to go through that whole "Start Up" bull again. After some pleading on my part, it decided to let me sneak in through the Safe start mode, so I backed up anything I could get and could possibly ever use on a computer again. All this in less than 24 hours. I sat ...

Nora Thompson: June 2013
http://nora-thompson.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 03, 2013. Girls v. Boys. I received an ad in the mail the other day, and was a little disappointed with the back page. That page was for kid's clothes, and at first glance I doubt most people would see anything wrong with it. Here's another gag-me moment I had a couple of months ago: Princess Camp. No joke. Because, really, what little girl wouldn't. Want to be a princess? This camp has everything little girls love.". Not really, no. That's what I'm talking about. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, October 24, 2013. Ralph Steadman at the bar. It's hard to look away from a Ralph Steadman. Piece of work. Not only his illustrations, but also his lettering. I love how Flying Dog Brewery. Just lets him have at it. I'd love to have a book of his entire collection of beer labels. I found these Steadmans at The Headkeeper. Monday, October 21, 2013. Look what this rubber band did for me. It's like wrought rubber maybe. Isn't it lovely? Thursday, October 17, 2013. Proof They do exist. This time it ...

Thompson Graphx: March 2010
http://thompsongraphx.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Editorial illustrations, graphx and fine art. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. New business card design. I've finally redesigned some new business cards for the graphic design offshoot of my freelance work (the white cards below). I had redesigned my Web site. So I've updated the new cards with my new branding, and I designed the back of the cards to mimic my Web site's navigation and portfolio rollover buttons. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Sunday, March 7, 2010. Paintings I did 20 years ago. I used to use really.
