Please note we don’t take bookings or reservations and we don’t serve food in the evenings except for special events. This week’s Third Dishes are. Tues 30th August – Chicken and mushroom pie served with new potatoes and veg. Weds 31st August – Lamb and sweet potato pasty served with chips and peas. Ale & Ciders. Ham, Egg and Chips Project. In 2014, armed with some Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and a nineteenth century walled garden, we launched the ‘Ham from Ham Project’. There was just one problem. We’d only done one third of the meal. We forgot the egg and chips! To rectify this, this year we have set ourselves the challenge of growing and producing all the components of our all-time favourite pub meal. This will be a plate of Ham-grown food to truly cherish. 2016 The Salutation Inn.

In early May 2014, eleven piglets, five Gloucestershire Old Spots and six Old Spot/Tamworth crosses, arrived in Ham and were introduced to their new home, a wild-wooded 19th century walled garden just a short stroll from the pub. Happily roaming and foraging in half an acre of woodland, the Sally pigs were given the most natural pig environment we could possibly provide.
