Being Wong Has Never Felt So Right: February 2013
http://beingwong.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Being Wong Has Never Felt So Right. That's just so Wong. Thursday, February 7, 2013. This is my story, a refining fire and a potter's pot. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my savior all the day long". The words to this song could not better sum up my life. Now, granted I've been through some hard times but I never left God, never walked away from Him. Yes, I questioned, I asked why, but who doesn't do that? Why God, why would you let this happen to me? I am far from being finished, far from be...

Being Wong Has Never Felt So Right. That's just so Wong. Friday, April 26, 2013. Mothers Day. and small victories. Who knew choosing a Mother's Day card could be so difficult. Started out glancing through them, but with each one I picked up, trying to find the perfect one for my own mother, the tears just started coming. It hurt. It physically hurt. I could feel the hole in my heart and. it.hurt. I went about my business and left as soon as I could. I feel myself growing through this, I feel us growing t...

Judson won an IHOP gift card when we played Bingo in Red River, so we went there for pancakes (his favorite) one morning. Every time someone would win a round of Bingo he would say, "Which one you wanna pick- Coffee? And hold up the IHOP card with the coffee mug on it. He likes to get the silver dollar pancakes and have a different type of syrup on each one. Love is in the Air.

anamchara: Catching Up: End of Break, the Psalms
http://kelliwog.blogspot.com/2010/04/catching-up-end-of-break-psalms_17.html
An offering for spiritual friendship. Catching Up: End of Break, the Psalms. A friend of mine at church here mentioned that he’s been reading my blog. He seems like a cool guy, so I was surprised to discover that he has no life. (Just kidding, Martin! And then I decided that I’ve been neglectful of the ol’ blog, and I should write something. Baked bread (and devoured it! I even got a little work done… not as much as I’d like, but hey, there’s still one week left! Monastic life was characterized by the da...

Judson had fun watching the older kids and looking for any leftover eggs he could find. Judson was easy to find with his football Easter basket! Searching hard for more eggs. Being shy boy. . . Getting warmed up. . . Cute Avery posing it up.

http://markandali.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 19, 2011. We are "half back" in Itu now. I (Mark) am home and Ali is finishing her last week state side. Ali is doing an online masters program with Rochester Christian College, and she has one intensive week of classes to kick off her semester of online studies. I had a great day here in Itu. It started early with work on the halfway house. Eric and I were taking off more mortar to apply water proofing. My plumbing is done! What a huge gift and great donation of service! At the end, I'...

Mark&Ali: November 2011
http://markandali.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 5, 2011. We've started a non-profit that has started taking over our lives! We have put new plumbing in, ripped out the old sewer system, and now we're putting our new electric lines into the houses which will receive guys coming out of drug rehab. Our church has been a huge help! This week I got help from João Ortiz, Edson and João Victor to install the conduits for electricity, Carlão to dig for the new sewer lines. Site was set up for us by our friend Deborah. Fares, Maria and Gabi.

Mark&Ali: February 2011
http://markandali.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. There have been some things that we've lived in this last week that have been hard to describe. because I'm not sure that I "get it" myself. One example is the story of Fran. Her story with us started a week ago Thursday, the day after we got back into the country. Fran saw a different world here, and took part in it. She went with us to church and various home groups. When she learned of our plans to have a community center she took us to a place that she thought we ...We le...
