Monday, July 30, 2007. The Goodyear Blimp passed over again today at about 10:20 AM. I assume it was coming from Indianapolis where I believe they had televised tennis matches over the weekend. I wish there had been advance warning as it was lower than normal and I would have liked time to have set up for a more interesting angle that included some landscape. Posted by Richard Browne. http://skyliner75.blogspot.com/2007/08/tri-state-gas-engine-tractor-show.html
Friday, August 24, 2007. TRI-STATE GAS ENGINE and TRACTOR SHOW. The Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Show is held annually in Portland, Indiana. It’s billed as the World’s largest. If it is or not may depend on how you defined it. In regards to gas engines I have little doubt that it is. It was going to be a hot day so I got there at 8:00 AM, by 11:00 AM I had enough. Lots of things to see ranging from displays of old spark plugs, the one in the middle is a monster. A 1918 Model C Indiana.
