Alex Garden born March 96. Studying Music at Southampton Uni. I started to play the violin at the age of six and then also took up drums when I was ten. I sang with the Somerset County Youth Choir - which included performing in the Royal Albert Hall, London, and the Colston Hall, in Bristol - and at my junior school where I sang a solo in Wells Cathedral. The Drystones started out when Dean Collier, Chairman of the Priddy Folk Festival needed to fill a slot at short notice at one of his venues in July 2011 and asked his son Ford if he could step up to the plate. One quick phone call to fiddler friend Alex Garden and the Drystones were formed. Glastonbury Launch of 3rd Album Campaign. We were very busy at Glastonbury 2016. We played four times from 22nd to 26th June as this was the official launch of our Crowd Funding campaign with Pledge Music to raise funds for our the recording of our third album "We Happy Few".
