ChemoDog: Side Effects
http://wm7i.blogspot.com/2013/09/side-effects_13.html
Friday, September 13, 2013. For the most part, I was able to predict how I would feel over the 2-week period of time between treatments. I’m not saying there weren’t some surprises, but being able to have an idea of how I would feel made things easier to plan. All I can say is I’m glad that I’m a guy, and I have a fairly decent head. Did you lose a bet? Is this your summer look? The funny thing is that it is my summer 2012 look). Thanks for supporting cancer patients! That was one of my favorite ones).

Friday, September 13, 2013. With cancer, you have a lot going on. It is easy to become self absorbed, and no one should blame you. But you are not the only one suffering. When I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s, my boys were 11 and 13 years old. In my blog, I already talked about how I reacted to getting cancer, and how it impacted the immediate relationship with my kids. I also took my kids to Chemo with me as often as possible They would take turns visiting my during my 4-hour sessions. I think it was ...

ChemoDog: August 2012
http://wm7i.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 10, 2012. Leading up to my first treatment, I hadn’t really thought about it very much. I was more worried about getting the port “installed” since that was the more immediate concern. But now being walked to the treatment room, I was getting scared. I didn’t know what to expect, and didn’t want to freak out, pass out, feel bad, throw-up, etc. I fell asleep in the car ride home, and still managed to sleep that night. I must have been exhausted to have overcome the steroids which manage...
ChemoDog: Learning My Fate
http://wm7i.blogspot.com/2012/07/learning-my-fate.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. From the biopsy, I already knew that I had Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. But it took a little more work to find out what stage I was at and where the cancer was for me to find out what it is going to take to get rid of it. My oncologist sent me off to get PET and CT scan. I had to fast that morning, get some sort of radioactive injection, and then drink a chalky vanilla flavored glucose drink. All of this was to make sure that the cancer cells showed up bright on the scans.
ChemoDog: A Fun Filled Day
http://wm7i.blogspot.com/2012/07/a-fun-filled-day.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. A Fun Filled Day. I’m not sure what they gave me as I was laying in the operation room, but I don’t remember anything between, “This will calm you down” and “See you when your ready to get it removed.” I told them I was ready then, but they didn’t think I was serious. Finally, I get to start chemo…. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Fun Filled Day. What’s an Oncologist? View my complete profile. The Fish Bowl Gallery. Ethereal template. Powered by Blogger.
ChemoDog: Needle in My Belly!
http://wm7i.blogspot.com/2012/12/needle-in-my-belly.html
Friday, December 21, 2012. Needle in My Belly! It seemed innocent enough. The left half of my chest and shoulder had veins poking out. I would have thought I was turning into the Hulk if the other side looked the same, but it just looked normal. I also didn’t have any greenish tint to my skin. Just the usual ghostly white. I get a little freaked out about needles, as I may have mentioned. Now, I had to have a shot everyday for the next week, in my stomach, at HOME. The nurse did the first one rig...The s...

Hi, my name is Katie Fish, and I am currently attending the University of West Georgia to get my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and I will graduate in May 2010, so close yet so far away. My future dream job would be in a Kindergarten classroom. The open mindedness of those 5-6 year olds makes me excited to go into the classroom.
