http://friendsandfinds.blogspot.com/2011/06/diy-summer-wreath.html
The things that make me happy. Sunday, June 05, 2011. While perusing my new favorite website pinterest.com. I found a great idea for a summer wreath. Being the bargain shopper and a relatively creative person, I felt that I could make this myself. I took a trip to Party City for cocktail umbrellas (144 for $4.99) and Hobby Lobby for a styrofoam wreath ($5.99). Here is the finished product! What do you think? For only $11 and. Less than 1 hour, I have a wreath that's fun and summery :). Http:/ media-cache...

Filth Wizardry: Iron on decals from plastic shopping bags
http://www.filthwizardry.com/2010/03/iron-on-decals-from-plastic-shopping.html
Mar 29, 2010. Iron on decals from plastic shopping bags. I've been playing around with this idea for a while (you can tell from the Christmas tree in the background of a few of the photos). It's quite fun and a good way to cover up stains that can't be removed from well, nearly all the tshirts my kids have. In case you've not seen or heard of it before. Here. Are a few lovely examples of fused bags too. Party favour bag butterfly decal on a pair of home made long tshirt shorts worked really well. Some of...

Mummy's dress: Flower slouch beanie.....
http://mummysdress.blogspot.com/2011/05/flower-slouch-beanie.html
Saturday, May 21, 2011. I got this grey slouch beanie from a cheap shop for $4. It was a little bit plain and boring. So, I worked my magic :). It's the same design as this flower clip. I made the petals from my old grey shirt {there's still some material left}. Then, I cut some white and silver tulle to fit inside each petal. Sewed on some silver buttons. Stitched flower to beanie. Mummy's dress is now on facebook. click here. To like. That way you'll know when I update the blog :). Gorgeous I love it.

Mummy's dress: Silk flower tutorial....
http://mummysdress.blogspot.com/2011/04/silk-flower-tutorial.html
Sunday, April 3, 2011. Want to make one of these cute flower clips? Take one piece of silky material. satin lining etc,. And one cute little assistant. Start by cutting the smallest circle first. I don't use a template, they don't have to be perfect. I usually cut around 9 circles, each one slightly bigger than the last. Hold your circle {shiny side towards the flame}. Just above the flame and turn. The heat will melt the edges. Master 9 didn't do this step, he just posed for the photo*. Thank you for th...

~Ruffles And Stuff~: Turning a T-Shirt Into a Pillow (Tutorial)
http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2011/07/turning-t-shirt-into-pillow-tutorial.html
July 15, 2011. Turning a T-Shirt Into a Pillow (Tutorial). My husband loves to tell Chuck Norris jokes with the guys at church. It's hilarious. So when I saw this shirt at the thrift store I got so excited! Unfortunately it was way too big. In retrospect, probably a good thing, I'm not sure I really wanted him to walk around in this anyway. However, it turned out to be a great shirt to use for a throw pillow to put in his "man cave"! If you have a fun shirt that you want to repurpose, try this! Insert yo...
