http://glutenfreekay.blogspot.com/2009/08/go-green-or-yellow-or-purple-or-striped.html
Strolling through my wheat free, corn free, soy free life, a. Nd taking time to smell the flowers. Friday, August 7, 2009. Or Yellow, or Purple or Striped! I'm talking about beans. No need to restrict yourself to only green beans any more! Here are a few of the varieties I've been picking from my garden. I cook them all together. The colors make for a lively side dish. I picked my first ripe tomatoes a couple of weeks ago. They were running late this year. Since then, I've had to pick the cherry ...Altho...

http://glutenfreekay.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Strolling through my wheat free, corn free, soy free life, a. Nd taking time to smell the flowers. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. So Daddy Cat and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and I played around on Facebook while watching the local news snow coverage. It was a good day to stay off the roads! I eventually put my jeans on over my pj's and ventured out to see if I'd remembered to fill the gas can for the snow blower. Yes! While watching tv (all day! From PA to IN. I'm ready! As soon as it warms up! The wa...

Gluten Free Kay: November 2008
http://glutenfreekay.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Strolling through my wheat free, corn free, soy free life, a. Nd taking time to smell the flowers. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Snacks - hot, gooey ones! Last Sunday was the last race of the Nascar season. I joined my favorite race fans at Rich's house for our now-traditional celebration. Rich deep fries a boatload of turkeys, Cajun style, and we all bring a show-off side dish. I can't try even a bite anymore, but I remember each and every returning favorite. I'll be making these again and again! Lightly...

A Cup of Sugar: Mexican Dip
http://cuposugar.blogspot.com/2008/03/mexican-dip.html
I had this for the first time at a good friend's house a few years ago. I LOVED it then and she was nice enough to share the recipe. Since then it has become very popular. Whenever I take it somewhere people always ask for the recipe, and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like it. 1 can black-eyed peas, drained and rinsed. 1 can shoepeg corn, drained. 1/3 c chopped cilantro. 2-4 large Roma tomatoes, diced. Refrigerate overnight and add the following just before serving:. 2 large avocados, diced.

Strolling through my wheat free, corn free, soy free life, a. Nd taking time to smell the flowers. Sunday, May 31, 2009. My chicken coop is finally finished! My little barn no longer leans, has a new coat of paint and all the renovations necessary to provide comfortable and secure lodgings for my flock. Here's a glimpse of the people doors into the coop, and my little office which sits atop the nesting boxes. Here's the chickens' view of the nest boxes. The chicken door and chicken ramp. I'm thinking of ...

Gluten Free Kay: March 2009
http://glutenfreekay.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Strolling through my wheat free, corn free, soy free life, a. Nd taking time to smell the flowers. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Earth Hour comes before Earth Day. The whole world goes dark for an hour to bring attention to earthly issues - like power consumption, and the resulting global warming. I decided to spend Earth Hour enjoying a candlelight dinner. It was yummy! I rather liked the darkness and the quiet. The auto flash on my camera kicked on, so my photo doesn't quite convey the warm ambience. Shallot...
