Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Christmas and more excitement. So I had a whole series of posts planned but the last few weeks have just flown and not it’s boxing day! And in an hour we’ll be getting onto a bus to get to a plane and another one and another one and then in about 26 hours we’ll be landing in Melbourne to start our 4 week holiday! I’m so excited! Psa fab tip I found in one of my cookbooks, if you have any mulled wine left over, freeze it and serve it as a sophisticated granita.

Saturday, December 01, 2007. That's what happened to these baby onions, herbs and spices using this. Recipe. I've made this recipe for the last several years and they are great! So much better than the store bought ones. They make a lovely present or are great to keep and eat with fondue, raclette or meat. From a friend, via email and you’ve probably read it already but you know what, in the most festive way possible, I don’t care, you’re going to read it again! 1 cup of dark brown sugar. 1 cup of butter. 1 cup of granulated sugar. 2 cups of dried fruit. 1 tsp of baking soda. 1 tsp of salt. 1 tsp of fresh lemon juice. 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts. 2 cups of flour. 1 bottle of Jose Cuervo Tequila. Sample the Cuervo to check quality.

I wanted a quick knitting project to do, and this pattern by Sarah Hatton, which she called Forever Green. I obviously didn't use the green Rowan Big Wool, I used the Smoky colour instead (#07). This was a really great quick project to do, since the Big Wool is exactly that: a bulky wool knitted on 9 and 10mm needles. I love not having to do sleeves! It looks so fantastic Jane!
