Sunday, May 31, 2015. On Saturday after Mark's collapse, I talked at length with Jodie. At one point during our conversation, she told me not to refuse any food that was offered to us. She said it is the way that people can help when they don't know what else to do. So I took her advice! This is just the food we received the next day. And it just kept coming! The kids found it amazing and kind of funny! I froze a lot of meals and we had food to last us a couple weeks. Prepared meals is my love language!

Friday, May 22, 2015. And then I went up to wake up the J's and to explain the story in the least scary way that I could. They did an awesome job of just being here, of taking care of things, of keeping the flow of family life going. Madeleine and her dad came over then, and brought us a big chili supper complete with watermelon and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Tim and Barb came over just to hang out for a bit. One of my very favorite videos.

Thursday, August 9, 2012. Running some quick errands. Someone asked me if I had big plans for today. So, here is today (thus far. It's 1:35 in the afternoon as I type this). Went to bed about 1am. Was joined by a 4 and 6 yr old sometime around 4 courtesy of a lovely storm. Rain = good. But now it's just gloomy. No sun. No rain. I only know it was 4am'ish because I asked Seth what the numbers were on the clock and vaguely recall a 4 being mentioned. Got up at 6am to start my day. Dropped Seth off at 8:10.
