Monday, February 1, 2010. Getting the Garden Ready. I just saw this movie this weekend, and it was great. And this was one of the first pictures that google came up with when I typed in worm. I think gardening and just generally playing in the dirt is a great earthy learning experience for kids. And it's fun for them because it's dirt. So, as it gets warmer, hopefully we will get to do this more. What would you suggest to begin with? I really want the kids to be involved. February 2, 2010 at 11:40 AM.

Monday, January 24, 2011. I wanna see Heaven". The other day, my dad was showing Jack some pictures of Papaw, my grandfather, who passed away about two years ago. He told Jack, "Papaw is in Heaven." Riley, sitting close by, knew that they were looking at pictures and overheard the comment and, thinking that those were pictures of Papaw IN Heaven, exclaimed "I wanna see Heaven" while straining to catch a glimpse of the picture. Monday, March 30, 2009. A Quiet Man Who Spoke Volumes. Papaw and his favorite girl:. I found a video of him on my computer from one of the last times he was up in Montgomery. I wish I could share it, but my computer won't let me for some reason. He's rocking the kids and is singing "I've Been Working on the Railroad." It's so sweet. None of us were ready to let him go. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Advent Calendar Meaningful ( cheap) Gift Ideas. I ran across this list today and thought it was brilliant. These are "gifts" to put in an advent calendar and then a mini lesson to boot. Day 1- a quarter. This equals 25 cents. But 25 also stands for the number of days until Christmas, when God gave us His best present. Jesus told about one woman's gift and the way she gave it. Read Mark 12:41-44. Day 2- a piece of grape gum. Day 3- a smiley face sticker. Day 7- two candy fish.
