What to expect from teatment. Osteopathy was developed as a hands on treatment for ailments and illness resulting from altered function in the body caused by physical trauma, falls, strains, shock or postural derangement. What to expect from teatment. The initial consultation will require a detailed case history to investigate the presenting problem. This will include details of past injuries and illness, as this may be relevant to the onset of the problem. Working on inflamed tissues can be sore at times, but we will work within your limits. What to expect from teatment. Osteopathy treats the whole body from head to toe. As well as sprains, strains and trauma injuries, osteopathy can be useful for pre and post surgery care. Osteopathy can also address many other ailments you may not think are associated with physical malalignment, such as;. Neck, back or sciatic pain. Joint pain including ankles, feet, shoulders and wrists. Sinus or recurrent ear infections. Digestive issues such as IBS, reflux or constipation. Any age from infant to old age.
