Another bout with insomnia has me listing things that Insurgent the movie bypassed that I kinda miss from ze book). Tris leading a ragtag team (sans Four, the deceived! The movie liked it simple. Maybe they are merely impatient to get to the next brilliant thing. maybe they need to run over people to get there. Maybe they’re irritable and impatient, as well as brilliant. Ode to randomness. a little absurdity, a little grit. Same girl, different day. March 30, 2015. Middot; by Jo Poblete. Middot; in ad lib. Middot; 2 Comments. Today i remembered who i was. The funny thing is, i realized it in the midst of a three-way (conference, gutter minds), after another sleepless night. I’m the same girl who convinced a boardroom of male bigwigs to take her, and her teammates, seriously. I’m the same girl who went diving though i can’t swim for a story. When did i start giving all, a...

Ode to randomness. a little absurdity, a little grit. August 12, 2015. Middot; by Jo Poblete. Middot; in movies. Middot; Leave a comment. I liked the movie. i liked the style of it, the contrast between the vast outside spaces and the claustrophobic hidden ground where AI and human interact. i liked the natural pivots of the narrative, the pithy philosophical bombs dropped here and there for the audience to pick up and chew on. (ever tried eating a bomb? No one seems to be innocent of a hidden agenda.

tremors of an accidental tourist: November 2013
http://madtangerinefish.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Tremors of an accidental tourist. Tomorrow, there will be a new hurt to heal. Saturday, November 9, 2013. Sunday is a friend. It has been a while since I found myself an inspiration that pushes me to my potential, but I worry that it will crumble too. I want security but I don’t trust that there is such thing since everything in the world is a product of change. And that makes me unfair to everyone around me. That is something I am working on. I worry too much. There will be more Sundays to find that out.

Tremors of an accidental tourist. Tomorrow, there will be a new hurt to heal. Wednesday, March 20, 2013. 31 (what happened after the blues attack). It has been a hell of a weekend. But I meant that in a sparsely Waldo-There-You-Are kind of way. Though I am trying to be as sober as I can, how can I resist the mini Hip Flask bought by my bro Khalid and his sweet GF Valerie as a birthday gift. Unexpectedly nice, and that's from someone who doesn't appreciate surprises. Now, where did I put my vodka? And did...

Because memory is a bitch. When was the last time you did something for the first time? This entry was posted on October 9, 2012, in travel. And tagged crashing waves. Because i have to gain my sanity back. work has been toxic and the city lights have been blinding, demanding. i’d like to breathe some fresh air (cliche) and forget about the news for a while. forget about deadlines, bills to pay, deadly manila traffic and everything frustrating. Because memory is a bitch. This entry was posted on November 12, 2012, in literature. By: Frank O’Hara. I’ve got to tell you. How I love you always. I think of it on grey. In my mouth the tea. Is never hot enough. Then and the cigarette. Dry the maroon robe. Chills me I need you. And look out the window. At the noiseless snow. At night on the dock. The buses glow like. Clouds and I am lonely. I miss you always. When I go to the beach. The sand is wet with. Tears that seem mine. Although I never weep.

Tremors of an accidental tourist. Tomorrow, there will be a new hurt to heal. Thursday, December 20, 2012. It's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine! No, it's not like any other love.
