The PhD Journey: The year that was.......Vancouver!

http://thephdjourney.blogspot.com/2007/07/year-that-wasvancouver.html

Monday, July 09, 2007. The year that was.Vancouver! Not very long after the snow started melting, it was time for Spring Break! A bunch of us decided to buck the trend of going south to warmer climes and went to Vancouver instead! Navi had been praising Vancouver (his hometown) all year long, so it was time to put his words to test! He was great host to us and even accommodated all of us in his home for the whole week! In the end he was more than proven correct! Here are some of the pics from the trip:.

At a halloween party (I am dressed as a Sailor; you can put anything you want in the blank lol). At an American Football Game (It was -2 degrees and to make things worse, UIUC lost that game in the last minute! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The PhD Journey: October 2006

http://thephdjourney.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 09, 2006. Another year has wizzzed past! As most of you know, my birthday was last Tuesday (Oct 3rd). I turned 24 this year! I would like to say thank you again to everyone who wished me :-) and, Cara, thanks again for the chocolates :-). I didn't do much on my birthday, I just went to classes as usual in the morning. In the afternoon, I went to volunteer at this dinner organized by an Indian student charity organization here called Asha. So I had a mini cake cutting party!

You need to find a cow. And give it a big hug". Back to the real world. After all I felt so comfortable with Indian airports, airport personel, and an airplane full of Indians that i wondered whether i was really the same person that came here so puzzled, nearly frightened 8 weeks ago. Stories from Munich and the world. Thursday, July 12, 2007. These pictures date back two weeks, from our graduation ceremony at CDTM. After having (almost) completed the two year program we were now 'officially certified Technology Managers';-). And no- I did NOT get a Wii for graduating (too sad.) rather it was us giving the Wii away following the tradition that the graduating classes give a gift to CDTM and its current students. Stories from Munich and the world. Friday, November 24, 2006. Stories from Munich and the world. Friday, August 10, 2007. The second day we rented a car and headed up north to the area of Mt Shasta - one of the highest peaks in the states; Patrick had invited us to his summer cabin. The 'tiny' car we had reserved: (they had no cars when we came to the agency although so we ended up with a considerable upgrade ;-). Nino took a nice 'little' video while I was driving - it captures the atmosphere of being on the road in California:. The fireplace outside the cabin.

Diesmal haben verlorene Wetten (? Die Rechtvorlesung von Frau Zumstein bereichert. Ich finde jeder braucht seine eigene Windmühle. Mein persönlicher Top-Kandidat: der Ausdruck "Studierende". Stories from Munich and the world. Da sitzt man gemütlich beim...

Stories from Munich and the world. Thursday, March 29, 2007. Was in Frankreich alles anders ist (Folge I):. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Le marais de Poitevin.
