Rhubarb Memories | The Pyjama Gardener

https://thepyjamagardener.wordpress.com/2013/04/30/rhubarb-memories

Green Is The Colour →. April 30, 2013. My love of rhubarb is a long lasting one. I have early memories of sitting on top of the rabbit hutch, legs dangling and dipping freshly cut rhubarb into a cup of sugar… I wear these sweet and sour memories like a rhubarb coloured coat that feels really cosy. I washed the rhubarb well, mouth watering and chopped it into bite size pieces and the taste test was completed when the rhubarb was raw. And the results? Rhubarb and custard are delightful together but I had a...

https://thepyjamagardener.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/green-is-the-colour

Green Is The Colour. May 11, 2013. If months were colours then May would definitely be green. There are little shoots and leaves appearing everywhere and I’m sure if you could stand still for long enough you would be able to see things growing. The hanging baskets have been planted ready for Summer and they’ve been left in a sheltered place until the risk of frost has passed. The chickens would have a feast but would probably do more damage than the slugs! The cats are also doing their best to. 43 though...

Newer posts →. February 24, 2013. The garlic has started to peek through but if you watch very carefully you can almost see the shoots trying to hide from the freezing blasts of wind that have now come to torment us. Last year I used the Utility Room. As a greenhouse with good success… but the Utility Room is now the Kitten’s Bedroom and as much as they’d love to have soil and seedlings to play with I’ll have to be more creative with space this year. February 17, 2013. The lid of the seed box barely cont...

Kindnesses | silverbells steps out

https://silverbells2012.wordpress.com/kindnesses-2

A journey of discovery in my garden. Cabbage with nutmeg and feta. Slow cooker baked potato and fried egg. Tomato and Jerusalem artichoke soup. Months 11 and 12. Months 9 and 10. Today I was nominated for an award by aquariumstarter at http:/ greenhousestarter.wordpress.com/. And so I have set up this new page as a place to write about any kindnesses that I wish to publicise. I am thrilled to bits that I have been nominated for the award, especially as I have only been blogging. For just over two months🙂.

Calming Oatmeal Facial – katie: normal girl

http://katienormalgirl.com/2012/09/17/calming-oatmeal-facial

Enjoyable things from the life of a normal girl. Original publish date: January 19, 2012. Winter weather dried out your skin? No problem. The chamomile in this mask has natural anti-inflammatory properties that will ease your nerves. The honey is a natural humectant, pulling moisture from the air and drawing it to your skin. It will leave you feeling calm and moisturized, and who wouldn’t want that? 2 1/2 tsp. powdered milk. 2 tsp ground oatmeal. 2 chamomile tea bags. As you apply the mixture, pay attent...

Quite Gifted: January 2013

http://quitegifted.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Monday, 28 January 2013. The pros and cons of sowing early. As I said in my last post, I've not sown this early before so I knew there was a chance that things would not go according to plan. The fact is seeds need warmth and light to germinate, two things January is not renowned for. The other day, after a major dumpage of snow, it just seemed bizarre to look at the seeds snug in their propagators with a backdrop of freezing temperatures and snow. So far they seems happy enough. And finally, our cat Im...

Quite Gifted: Elusive snails

http://quitegifted.blogspot.com/2013/06/elusive-snails.html

Wednesday, 26 June 2013. I know they are around. I've seen the signs, trails over my squash, courgettes and aubergine. I've lifted, turned, poked prodded and furtled but I cannot find the little blighters. I will find them, yes I will! Elsewhere in the garden. The asparagus peas have finally begun to flower. . The strawberries are ripening at a rate of about 2 a day at the moment. Hope to see you there. I came across your Wordpress blog yesterday and wondered what was going on. Now I know! I had a slow ...

Quite Gifted: Champagne bubbles

http://quitegifted.blogspot.com/2013/06/champagne-bubbles.html

Wednesday, 19 June 2013. It was a lovely surprise this morning to find the first of the poppies "champagne bubbles" had quite literally "popped" open. The casing that held the poppy bloom. I have to admit, I was obviously very ignorant as to how the poppy would open. Still a little bit in awe of the whole process. I have tried sowing several batches of basil with no success what so ever. I've never been a fan of basil before I came across a great pesto recipe which the kids love. And then on the 16th June.

In and Out of My Garden. Thoughts from and about my garden. The Handpicked Flower Company….blooming in 2014. A wet Bank Holiday Monday. August 25, 2014. It’s rained all day today. It has been brilliant for the garden and my flower field, but in terms of being out of doors less good. I’ve spend the day at my computer, with the aim of getting on … Continue reading →. In and Out of My Garden. Thoughts from and about my garden. The Handpicked Flower Company….blooming in 2014. Author Archives: Sara Davison. I've been gardening as long as I can remember; initially as a child, learning from my mother, and then with each successive garden I've owned, I've expanded my knowledge and my plant collection. Starting Spring 2014 I'm taking my first steps as a flower farmer, growing British flowers for cutting on an acre of rented farmland in the Surrey Hills. January 31, 2015.

The Pyjama Game by Mark Law

About The Pyjama Game. The first full dramatic account of the origins and development of judo and behind-the-scenes view of the modern international tournament circuit. It is a sport of balletic beauty and extraordinary violence - where else are you allowed to strangle an opponent unconscious? But while its aim is to inflict symbolic death, judo is a form of combat which also rigorously insists on the most formal courtesies. He went to the World Championships in Japan and to the Olympics in Athens.
