The Ramblings of Me

The Ramblings of Me. The unedited thoughts of a rambler! Saturday, May 28, 2011. I defeated the sock monster! I have had socks on the top of my dresser for MONTHS! Every once in awhile I find a "missing" sock after a load of laundry, but normally I end up adding to the pile. A few weeks ago I counted and I have 37 unmatched socks. REALLY? They are covered with shoes so what does it matter? I hate packing. I really hate goodbyes and I have a feeling that the two go hand in hand! Until next time,. Free spe...

The Ramblings of Me: Seriously...

http://theramblingsofkristin.blogspot.com/2011/05/seriously.html

The Ramblings of Me. The unedited thoughts of a rambler! Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Free speech is a right granted in this country that countless men and women have fought and died for. Yet, some people are only willing to agree with free speech if what is being said shares their own opinion. I don't agree with things that harm others, but everyone is entitled. With how others live their life. It isn't harming anyone so let it go. Until next time,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://theramblingsofkristin.blogspot.com/2011/04/grrr.html

The Ramblings of Me. The unedited thoughts of a rambler! Monday, April 18, 2011. On a happier note.I found out that in the next 27 days I have 7 days off, 4 days of TAKS, 1 day of TAKS camp, and 3 days of finals! Makes me super happy. I'm not going to take all the days off I'm thinking, but definitely taking 5 of them! Packing goes slow, but it goes so I guess that is good news. Alright no more procrastinating. Just had to get that out of my system. Until next time,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Ramblings of Me: Oh how I hate the wind...

http://theramblingsofkristin.blogspot.com/2011/04/oh-how-i-hate-wind.html

The Ramblings of Me. The unedited thoughts of a rambler! Friday, April 15, 2011. Oh how I hate the wind. The wind today is INSANE. It is currently sustained at 34 mph with gusts of 44mph. That is faster than the speed limit in this town. CRAZY. Think of that.the wind is moving faster than your car people of Dumas. I also chose today to wear my hair down.STUPID on my part but it happens! Plans tonight of going to watch some baseball have all but disappeared. I doubt. Until next time,.

The Ramblings of Me: A Happy Day!

http://theramblingsofkristin.blogspot.com/2011/04/happy-day.html

The Ramblings of Me. The unedited thoughts of a rambler! Tuesday, April 26, 2011. I didn't really do a whole lot, but I had a lot of fun! Lots of laughs and good friends. I saw my parents, got a pedicure with my mother. went to Clovis, saw some awesome people, and went to church. Good Friday has always been my favorite service. I like the hymns, and the service is just an awesome reminder. Sunday I had Easter dinner with Ashley and Adam and the Cannon crowd! Today we start TAKS. Until next time,.

August 22, 2008. Typhoon Nuri is on the way. It's getting exciting, y'all. From the Hong Kong Observatory. The No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal is in force. April 29, 2009. Letting the world in. After a rather blunt reminder that demon summer is on its way, Hong. Kong has had a run of rather glorious weather. (Well, at least on the days I’m working. Naturally, it pours on my days off.) Last year at this time, I remember it already being uncomfortably sticky, though not yet blazing hot. But these days? They feel like November. And so, to celebrate, I turned off the air conditioner and opened the windows wide. The first few nights, it wasn. After what felt lik...

AnnaDotes: September 2008

http://annadotes.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

September 27, 2008. It was one Friday night where I was seriously looking forward to going home and crawling into bed with a book. I’d just finished a six-day week, and I’d gone straight to the office from the airport after a very fun, very exhausting three-day weekend. (More on that trip soon; I’m still toning photos.) Then a coworker announces that she’s heading to Shek O to meet friends and eat Thai food. Did any of us want to join? I think I could even see stars. Links to this post. But very soon, I&...

September 1, 2009. When I told the cab driver my destination, he shook his head and clucked a bit. Water main break in Wan Chai. He said. "Lots of traffic.". That explained the traffic jam outside my apartment - on a street that maybe sees a dozen cars in a busy hour. The line of taxis was already stretching toward the hospital when I left for my yoga class at 9:15. When I came home two and a half hours later, the line was even longer. December 25, 2008. From my home to yours. Best wishes in this holiday season. Nothing says it better than skyscrapers. Links to this post. December 13, 2008. The building management has kindly posted a giant sign next to the elevator in my apartment building. Its purpose: Help residents prevent fire and theft (which, according to the sign, are more common during the holidays and through to Lunar New Year). One, however, leaves me quite puzzled:. Surely, bad music sung badly would keep the burglars away.

AnnaDotes: October 2008

http://annadotes.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

October 30, 2008. So, things have been a bit crazy since I got back from the Mainland last Friday. A better blogger than I would have told you all about it by now, but you're stuck with me: the girl who has barely unzipped her suitcase. What, you expected photos, already? I'm a bit occupied at the moment fighting off a plague of ants. The one thing I did get accomplished this week: I voted. I didn't fashion a voting booth in my shower using a pirate flag like somebody. Links to this post. October 3, 2008.

AnnaDotes: This is what I get

http://annadotes.blogspot.com/2009/08/this-is-what-i-get.html

August 25, 2009. This is what I get. Why did I ever switch to a digital camera? Is it any wonder I still have pictures from China that I took last October sitting in iPhoto? Not to mention pictures from trips to Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. Maybe the problem isn't that I started using a digital camera. Maybe the problem is that I travel too damn much. If I stayed home more often, I certainly wouldn't have this problem! At Mt Batur and one of a salad. What sites sent them to me. I think the prob...

The Ramblings of Jen

Monday, June 15, 2015. I like nature. Who woulda thunk it? We just got back from a glorious getaway with my mom, dad, sisters, niece, nephew and brother-in-law. Eleven of us total, bunking together for the week in a cozy cabin in the Smoky Mountains. (And we did not kill each other. Like, NOT EVEN A LITTLE. We totally got this family vacation thing down COLD.). From the moment we arrived, Gatlinburg basically stole my heart. Tennessee, we already miss you. Yepthat's Sophie and Cadin back there! 32 flavors, and then some. The ramblings of someone you might have known. Warm breeze, soft sand, cold beer. The air was thick, the humidity lingered all through the night. Bodies damp from sweat, breathing heavy, lapping in the fresh air that slips in through the window. The sky was an inky blue, and my heart felt renewed again. It only takes small reminders, a sideways smile, your hand resting lightly on the small of my back. A year ago, or was it a lifetime? It's much less isolating, when I know it's ...

I have been having so much fun cooking and experimenting! This one is a definite winner. It serves 2, but is very easy to adapt for more (in fact, the marinade will probably do for up to 4 salmon fillets).
