The Songs in My Head: Downtown Train - Original Cover!
http://thesongsinmyheadblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/downtown-train-original-cover.html
The Songs in My Head. I wake up every morning with a song stuck in my head. And now it's stuck in yours. Friday, July 4, 2014. Downtown Train - Original Cover! Tom Waits's "Downtown Train" has been in my head for a few days, so I decided to figure it out on guitar. Then I sang it at karaoke last night, and it wasn't too shabby. I'm using something closer to the key Rod Stewart sang it in, 'cause Tom's range is a might too low, as you can imagine. Hope you enjoy it! Written by: Tom Waits. Sammy Davis, Jr.

Its not just the number of pushpins in your world map‚ its what you did while you were there. Great moments from my travel diary:. Sitting at a glass–walled café in Paris‚ getting drunk on Carlsberg beer while student rioters and truncheoned gendarmes tussled outside. After Easter Eve services at a tiny village in the Greek Peloponnese‚ burning my fingers on a candle as we silently processed down a rocky hillside in the dark. Eighteen days in a gas–guzzling Dodge Caravan with three internet–.

Monday, March 31, 2014. I'll Give You Fish. Today's posting is short but to the point. I have been on a B-52s listening binge recently, and no song of theirs floats my boat more than Give Me Back My Man. Thursday, March 20, 2014. If words could speak they'd mean even less. Any time is the right time for a dose of Jellyfish. Absolutely one of my all time favorite bands, so very talented and yet they only made two albums before disbanding. This nugget is from their first LP Bellybutton. Was supposed to be ...
