Fighting Like a Girl: Trappings
http://thefellows.blogspot.com/2011/03/trappings.html
Fighting Like a Girl. Monday, March 14. I stepped into the shower today, and was greeted-not for the first time-by the sight of a moderately sized clump of hair-wet, disgusting, and left in a wad on the small bench in the corner of the shower enclosure. Gross" I thought. "Why does he do that? Would it be so difficult to fish the hair out of the drain and then put in the trash, instead of leaving it here for me to find? Nearly 3 years ago, those socks stopped appearing on my living room floor. Instantly, ...

Fighting Like a Girl: May 2010
http://thefellows.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Fighting Like a Girl. Monday, May 31. In July, I was single-handed packing up our townhouse to move into the house where we currently live, and as a result I was forced to go through the detritus of my life with Ammon. It was an extremely stressful and emotional period, and my arthritis flared again. After spending several nights unable to sleep, I finally broke down and through tears-made an appointment to see my doctor. The results of the blood work came back within a few days, and they were devastating.

Fighting Like a Girl: September 2010
http://thefellows.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Fighting Like a Girl. Wednesday, September 1. Without a word to me, Kevin approached the table and began to help Jeremy with his homework. For a moment, I stood alone in the kitchen-frozen, unable to continue the task before me. My heart caught in my throat-constricted in an odd tangle of pain and pride. I'm so grateful to be marrying a man who wants to help his children with homework. I'm so sad that Ammon was never able to help his son with assignments. I wholeheartedly believe in the Law of Chastity.

Fighting Like a Girl: Hunting
http://thefellows.blogspot.com/2012/03/hunting.html
Fighting Like a Girl. Friday, March 2. The one I haven't been able to stop thinking about all morning. I have looked at houses until my eyeballs have begun to bleed.but NONE of them have gotten me excited like this one. I'm not even going to post a link to it-because it's THAT fabulous, and I'd be. I'm doing lots of deep breathing today. I'm trying to be patient and remember that just like every other aspect of this job search and relocation-it will fall into place. March 2, 2012 at 1:05 PM. Sunday Sweet...

Spanns on the Run: January 2011
http://spannsontherun.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. That flailing mass of purple you saw go flying? Yeah, that was me. You are totally the best neighbor ever. PS - You might want to be on the lookout for random snowballs being thrown your way tomorrow on your run. PPS - I probably shouldn't compose letters when I have an angry head injury. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. In all seriousness, I am ready to go back to work. I was actually hoping for a workday tomorrow - maybe Friday at this rate? MLK holiday on Monday) That is nuts.

Spanns on the Run: Squir-coonin'
http://spannsontherun.blogspot.com/2011/07/squir-coonin.html
Thursday, July 14, 2011. That got your attention, didn't it? Last weekend, my "Obel" and I joined our sweet friend Leigh at her family's house on Daufuskie Island just off of Hilton Head in South Carolina. We celebrated her birthday all weekend long with her friends Erin and Emily. You know I have stories to tell. But this is not the blog post for stories. This is an opportunity to share my extensive knowledge on squircoons. Squircoon Fact #1: Despite popular opinion, squircoons do not travel in pairs.

Spanns on the Run: Father's Day
http://spannsontherun.blogspot.com/2011/06/fathers-day.html
Sunday, June 19, 2011. I have to say a few words in honor of my Daddy-Man for Father's Day. First of all, the man should really be nominated for sainthood. Or some sort of "survivor" award. He managed to survive a household with FIVE women. 5! Until you've managed it yourself, you have no idea how much estrogen that is. No idea. Daddy Man with his girly girls - 11, 9, 7 and 1.5. Capt James Richard Boone. My Aunt Tanna recently posted the following:. Anything worth doing is worth doing right! A TobyMac-in...

Monday, September 1, 2014. Summer of 2014 and the run on story of ours. The summer is coming to an end. In fact, I sit here on Friday at 5pm, Labor Day weekend in front of me, and I cannot believe 1. The summer is over and 2. All of the awesome stuff we got to do this summer. One more ice cream sandwich and backyard water fight and we were showered and in bed. Back to school tomorrow. What was your favorite part of summer? Labels: God is Good. I love my family. September 11, 2014 at 12:19 PM. I was there...

Herman, party of five.: The Rawness of Back to School
http://hermanfamdam.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-rawness-of-back-to-school.html
Thursday, September 12, 2013. The Rawness of Back to School. All the back to school busyness has left me kind of raw. Very raw actually. I’ve been thinking about it a lot, trying to figure out why. Is this year different? Is it because my baby is in preschool now, and Addie in full day? Is it because we no longer have our nanny? Third grade. Lily is a 3. What if I didn’t have to worry about this or that? What if my kid didn’t have to ride the bus? What if I volunteered more? What if I got to work earlier?

Herman, party of five.: So, it's not the best news...
http://hermanfamdam.blogspot.com/2012/03/so-its-not-best-news.html
Monday, March 5, 2012. So, it's not the best news. But it's not the worst news either. On Tuesday I went in to have a biopsy on a little bump of skin on my eyelid. It's been there since I got pregnant with Addie and I figured it was one of those weird skin things that happens with pregnancy. When I went to my first. Later when I read my Word document, there was only one line of words that I even remember typing. Basal Cell Skin Cancer. A friend from High School got melanoma in the fall, she sent me an em...
