Staudt Family

Saturday, July 25, 2015. Givery - Monet's Waterlily's and town. After touring Monet's front gardens and house we set off to explore the lilypad pond. We were taking bets to see who could guess the number of lilypads in the water. Lead explores Liam and Lyla were in charge of the group. Such a beautiful and colorful house! Following a stream to find the lilypads. A map helped the explorers. Guess who found the pond? Japanese bridge Monet painted. View from the bridge. Little church in the town. Kids looki...

Staudt Family: Lots of American visitors back in Wendover

http://www.thestaudts.blogspot.com/2015/07/lots-of-american-visitors-back-in.html

Monday, July 6, 2015. Lots of American visitors back in Wendover. Monday, July 6th brought the return of Nana, Papa, Marcia and her husband John, back to our house in Wendover. They arrived late Monday afternoon after flying all night from Seattle. Nana was a real trooper and managed to come and see Liam's play, "Edith's Wartime Memories." Liam played a home guard in the WWII play, he had a great time singing and dancing! Arrival of Nana and Papa means lots of presents! Ready to watch Liam's school play.

Staudt Family: Avebury

http://www.thestaudts.blogspot.com/2015/07/avebury.html

Sunday, July 12, 2015. We decided to show everyone Avebury stone circle. It's much larger than Stonehenge and you are able to physically touch the stones. It is comprised of 3 neolithic stone circles covering the town of Avebury. There is a clearly marked path around the henge to follow which goes through the town and sheep pastures. As always, we had a great time playing hide and seek behind the giant stones! Liam leading the way. With Nana and Papa. Lyla walking along the henge path. It was a windy day!

Staudt Family: December 2014

http://www.thestaudts.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. New year's eve we went bowling with Uncle Ed, Aunt Missy and the Staudt cousins. My kids had never been bowling before and loved it! Really, they would have loved anything with their cousins but they had a lot of fun and did a pretty good job (thanks to the gutter blockers and a dinosaur ramp)! Little sister cheering him on. The boy had some dramatic movements! Lyla was able to roll her ball down a ramp. Waiting to see if it's a strike. Hanging out with Avery and Cami. Molly...

Staudt Family: July 2015

http://www.thestaudts.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Driving along the coast. Passing lots of gorgeous sand; unfortunately it was cold and windy. How grown up does he look here? Going towards the old cathedral. Two upside down boats make up the roof. Marina where many past and current impressionists paint. On our last morning in our condo Liam, who I shared a room with, woke up to say there was a cat in the room. I assumed he meant outside the window. But no, it was a cat under our bed! This Loved Life: August 2014

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Harrison - 4 months. Harrison is somehow now 4 months old. I don't know how this is happening! I feel like he should still be such a little baby and I'm always surprised when we're out and about and I see newborns and do a double take, because they make him seem huge and old in comparison! I feel like he should still be the smallest but not anymore! He seems like such a big baby to me! He has become so much fun! He rolled over from back to front on Aug 1. He'd been trying ...

This Loved Life: November 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 7, 2012. I am kind of a cheeseball about this holiday. I love to see the little ones all dressed up in their costumes. I still remember the nervous anticipation of this holiday and the excitement at seeing everyone look so out-of-the-ordinary. It's fun to relive some of the feelings now as a parent. I know I have limited time left while I can still dress Barrett in cute costumes, before he wants to be superman or a transformer or some other total boy. Walking back to the car. This...

This Loved Life: October 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Goodbye high heels, Hello highchairs. Last May, my company announced its plans to relocate to Atlanta. I wrote then. So when the move was announced, I was thrown. Tim and I spent over a year in this strange limbo, where we weren't sure what to do. We wanted more space but didn't want to do anything more with the house until we knew what our plans were. We decided that moving for my job is not in the cards right now. But at what cost? I am incredibly nervous about this "new li...

Sunday, December 2, 2012. Audrey - 12 months. My Audrey. I knew I would love you but I had no idea how much you would hold my heart. You are my angel. You are one year now and I wish I could rewind time and live some of this last year over again. It has gone so fast and I already feel like timing is flying by with you faster than it did with your brother. Your personality is really starting to come out. You are a rascal! You love to head over to Payton's food and water bowls. Sometimes you just sit t...

This Loved Life: June 2013

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 3, 2013. My Little Van Goghs. Lately I've been feeling like the Pied Piper of the 3 and Under set. Anywhere I go, I lead a parade. So if I need to buy myself a few minutes to get dinner ready, the latest trick I've found is coloring. One day I had to run out to the garage to grab something out of the refrigerator and left the kids in the kitchen coloring. I was gone approximately 60 seconds. This is what I came back to:. Purple marker makes good lipstick, apparently. Enjoying the Small Things.

This Loved Life: Harrison is Born!!!

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014/08/harrison-is-born.html

Sunday, August 10, 2014. On April 3, 2014, our littlest one Harrison Wesley was born at 4:02am! He weighed in at 7lbs, 15oz and was 21" long. We stopped to pick up lunch on the way, a turkey sandwich and Oreo smoothie from Potbellys, the same final meal actually I'd had the night before Barrett was born. At 4:02am on Thursday, April 3, Harrison Wesley was lifted from me. We hadn't known the sex, so Tim looked over the curtain, his mouth dropped open and he announced it was a boy! I was still in such a st...

This Loved Life: September 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Another whirlwind week come and gone. I seriously stopped in my tracks this morning at the realization that it was already the end of September. Crazy! Our lives have been even more hectic than usual lately it seems. Last Monday: appointment with Audrey's ENT to have her tubes checked. All is good. Last Tuesday: appointment with all 4 of the therapists that evaluated Audrey and the coordinator and discussion of the next steps. And Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili. So easy a...

This Loved Life: Life with 3 - the first month

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014/08/life-with-3-first-month.html

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Life with 3 - the first month. The first few weeks home, the kids begged to hold Harrison every morning. They couldn't wait to see him and begged to hold him. The first morning he was home was no exception. Barrett holding his new baby brother. Audrey holding her new baby brother.. And we refereed regular arguing over who got to hold him first and most. Barrett was obviously pouting over not being able to hold him at the current moment.. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

This Loved Life: Bringing Home Baby

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014/08/bringing-home-baby.html

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. I would be remiss to not post about the wonderful greeting we had when we brought Harrison home from the hospital! When we brought Barrett home, it was a quiet and snowy December 26, and we arrived to a quiet and clean house and I spent the rest of the day nuzzling a sweet little newborn, hanging out in the window to help his jaundiced skin and taking photos of the little one. This time, we arrived home to a PARTY! When I asked Barrett if he was excited that Harrison was home, I...

This Loved Life: April 2013

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 23, 2013. And just one more. Barrett: "I don't want to go to school today. I want to go to work with you.". Me: "You wouldn't like Mommy's work. There's no playground and no friends and no books. It's not very much fun. Why would you want to go to work? Barrett: "I just want to be with you, Mommy," wrapping his arms around my legs and kissing them. Saturday, April 20, 2013. Barrett, to me: "What are the dogs' names? Me: "I don't know. Why don't you ask? Barrett: "Maybe they don't talk".

Sunday, October 31, 2010. Friday, October 22, 2010. We had a great visit to Utah. We got to see a lot of family we don't normally get to see. I got some pictures, feeling bad I didn't take pictures with everyone I saw. Grandma Jean/Ryan and his water gun. Grandma and Grandpa Olson. Antelope Island, buffalo, coyote. Perry fall weather and walks. Payless Shoe Source and GPS. Aunts, Counsins, and children. Luke, Casey, cutie Cam. And most especially mom and dad! Sunday, October 10, 2010. On Monday night I s...
