I was diagnosed at the age of 25, during my fourth year of doctoral research in the physical sciences. By the time they made the diagnosis, I was so sick that I had to take a year off from my studies to regain my health, leaving my new home on the east coast and moving back in with my parents. If there's a theme to this blog, it's news to me. Oh my god, my first class was so much fun. And scary. I think some of the post-class high was from laughing, and some was from fear-generated endorphins.
