The school is open but half the teachers can’t make it in, what with living in lovely remote middle class villages. I was stuck in my village surrounded on all sides by either 45 degree hills or impassable narrow roads (which are oddly surrounded by fields higher than the road, causing run off which freezes) freed by lunchtime but I had no lessons so stayed home and marked GCSE test-run papers. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. This is bloody ridiculous! There are 2 days left until the end of a twelve week term, in the middle of Winter, with the class from hell. and I'm feeling motivated! I must be losing it! Why can't I just wind down and present the 'let's get this over with' face that every one else has on right now? I should be wearing brown, with unwashed hair and chipped nail polish, dragging my feet from place to place. This spring in my step and 'haute de courture' stylin' just won't do!
