Full of sound and fury, but with some significance. A (Jesus) Fish Story. Malayala Martin Approved Links. Tuesday, December 18, 2007. A (Jesus) Fish Story. Fishing has become a very romantic notion in my mind. I haven’t fished for years, but when I was just a little guy my grandpa would take me fishing every summer. I had absolutely no skill. Grandpa set up the rod and reel, put the worm on the hook, cast the line and then handed me the pole. Why shouldn’t they follow? Each time we meet we begin by singi...

Spoke in the Wheel. September 21, 2007 / John Thomas. There is a prayer here, there is a prayer there. There is a prayer in the morning, there is a prayer in the evening. There is a collective prayer, there is a personal prayer. There is a fast and prayer, there is an eat and prayer. There is a speakin in tongues prayer, there is an all too familiar language prayer. There is a prayer here, there is a prayer there. There is a song here, there is a song there. There is a slow song, there is a fast song.

Charlotte in India: October 2005

From August 2005 to August 2006, I lived in India. This was a year full of challenges, humor, and growth, all documented here. Monday, October 31, 2005. On Saturday, Jenika and I accompanied some school children on a picnic. We were away from 8 o’clock in the morning until midnight, which made it impossible for me to avoid using a public restroom. My ninth month in India has ended, and, along with it, the unbearable summer of South India. As June approaches, we here are so thankful for the break in temperatures, the cool breeze blowing, and, yes, even the massive amounts of rain. Posted by Charlotte at 3:39 PM. Monday, May 29, 2006. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Things You Should Know About India. 1 Curry for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. South Indian food is amazing, but variety is not its strong point. Breakfast is dosha or apomb (styles of rice flour pancakes) with curry or spicy coconut chutney. Lunch is always rice with a curry and various vegetable side dishes. Dinner is chapathee or parota (flat bread) with a curry. Everything is spicy. 2 Men hold hands and wear a skirt. 3 Few traffic rules, no seat belts, and no road rage.
