4 Patch
http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2015/06/stitching.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Monday, June 22, 2015. Favorite leftovers and getting lost in so so many stitches. I listen to my 'conspiracy' podcasts and videos, camp Poundfist (WoW) and stitch the whole time. A fragment that looks like stitched death under the shadow of the rosebush. Taken at about 7 am after a rainy night. It was amazing. It's a comfortable day and it's clearing up to be a gorgeous day. Close up of an eco print I grabbed off UpCycledArt on Etsy. I Love Baby Quilts!

http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2013/10/socks-done.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Monday, October 7, 2013. Socks, done. Handspun, hand knit, two ply. These are for my sister. Why is it that people used to make quilts and socks and spun yarn and hand dyed in their homes, or their sewing rooms. but now, everyone has a 'studio? That drives me nuts. And it gives me the giggles. Tony wanted "rainbow yarn" at the yarn shop, handspun stuff that is $30/ skein, for a hat. I would have needed two skeins. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

4 Patch: A bit of sewing AND spinning! Salvage Quilting?!
http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2014/12/a-bit-of-sewing-and-spinning.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Tuesday, December 2, 2014. A bit of sewing AND spinning! Gosh it's been forever. Haven't really wanted to blog since I lost my mother. Some sewing. Cloth on cloth on cloth. Totally inspired by eclectic quilters, story tellers and other quilters who like to try non traditional sewing. Obviously Miss Jude. What I do, I like to think of as 'salvage quilting.'. Oh, this is why I gave up on Blogger. Moving pictures. -.-. Best wishes for 2015. Mom, spinner, k...

4 Patch: Quickie Blankie and Mom Mending
http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2015/04/quickie-blankie-and-mom-mending.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Friday, April 3, 2015. Quickie Blankie and Mom Mending. The batting is pretty thick, so I don't need to have the quilting super close together. That was the plan initially, to have a kantha- style close quilting rhythm, but this happened and I'm cool with it. (also lazy and the caffeine- high momma bear in me was vibrating when I started, haha.). My poor, sweet little baby. You're 10 1/2. You're a LITTLE BOY. So he's going back to the hospital in Southe...

4 Patch: Nicky's Blan-tee.
http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2015/03/nickys-blan-tee.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Ok so he calls them 'blankies' now. I call them blantees and I probably always will. Like how he would say 'boo' instead of 'blue' and my mother always called chips 'chippie dippies.'. So Nicky's blantee, almost done. Home stretch. Started when I was sick, spent 2 separate wks in the hospital with me and a few road trips with the piecing. I sew weird shit. It's just what I do. /flex. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mom, sp...

4 Patch: Being Stuck and Going.
http://dye4color.blogspot.com/2015/06/being-stuck-and-going.html
Hand piecing, spinning, knitting. A little weaving. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Being Stuck and Going. So much going on lately. He's much more stable now, but he still aggresses a few times a day. At one point, he had to go to a medical hospital because his platelets dropped to 50. We didn't know if it was meds or a virus. It ended up being a virus. Probably. I'll be honest. The whole experience this time around was an eye opener for me. Will he ever live at home? What to DO with it though. I'm adding ...
