Saturday, February 22, 2014. Old Car in The Woods. I found this old car in the woods while hiking at Charles H. Bronson State Forest. This is a vast area to explore and finding this car was a great adventure! I walked a good ways through pasture lands until I eventually reached a small wooded area where I saw this old car. It appears to have been rusting away here for quite sometime. Old Car in The Woods. Florida Hikes and Other Outdoor Information. Posted by Joe Dunn. Old Car in The Woods. Check out Eve...

Central Florida Nature Outings. Thursday, January 23, 2014. What do you think of when you see this image? Me too. It's a dead ringer for Snoopy. Here, Snoopy is sticking his nose up in the air. Lucy taught him this display of acting "eletist". Still trying to figure this out? With a head this cute, who needs a body? It was the male Bufflehead doing all those contortions. Here, male and female together in Titusville, FL near Merritt Island NWR. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). National and Regional Sites.

Central Florida Nature Outings. Monday, April 22, 2013. 28 Apr 2013, Lake Apopka Bike Trail. Stray, orphan, curious? This cute Bobcat kitten . Was crying nonstop and when we moved further along on the trail closer to the sound, walks right up to us. No parent was around. So what is the call? Did the parent get eaten by an alligator or killed somehow? Why would the kitten come to our feet unless it was starving and no parent around? 26 Apr 2013, Lake Apopka Bike Trail. 25 Apr 2013, Lake Apopka Bike Trail.

Central Florida Nature Outings. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. 25 Sep 2013, Wekiwa Springs State Park. Birds are supposed to fly! Tell that to this Short-tailed Hawk that hung motionless in the air. This hawk went into a "kiting" position with wings in a soaring profile, tail slightly down and head down looking for its prey. It stayed in this position for 60-75 seconds, then stooped . diving on its prey at a very fast speed straight down. October 2, 2013 at 8:04 AM. What a stunning looking hawk Robert!
