Hammer Time: October 2012
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Sunday, October 28, 2012. The NSW govt has to cut spending from its budget. This is largely because it inherited a basket-case courtesy of the previous Labor govt. So when people from charitable organisations get word that their revenue from the govt is being cut they immediately go for the heart strings, accusing the govt of not caring. Some perspective people, please. They are broke! Links to this post. Friday, October 05, 2012. This style of ques...

Hammer Time: January 2013
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. In politics it seems if someone is against a certain method then it’s assumed that they are also against the desired outcome. I am all for technological advancement. BUT I am against the government’s wasteful and negligent spending on the NBN. They bypassed a cost benefit analysis and were reluctant to deal with the private sector. I am all for increased funding of schools. Links to this post. Thursday, January 10, 2013.

Hammer Time: Rejoice & Be Consistent
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2013/11/rejoice-be-consistent.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Sunday, November 10, 2013. Rejoice and Be Consistent. The Labor Party still wants to push for an ETS after the debacle of their own doing in introducing a carbon tax. After being smashed in the polls largely due to this issue. They still refer to "the science". Being right despite "scientists" telling us opposite things. So who knows whats true anymore? Has been thrown out, allowing emotive types to bleat about doing whats good for our children.

Hammer Time: April 2013
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I am excited about the future of the GWS Giants. Although I am concerned that recurring heavy losses on the field will have a negative impact on the mindset of the young team. We all like to win but persevering through the hard times will make success sweeter. The Giants tried to woo some experienced players through their trade concessions. Instead they enticed clubs with high draft picks to trade. It’s a necessity tha...

Hammer Time: Tokenism
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2013/09/tokenism.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Monday, September 16, 2013. Apparently Tony Abbott ought to have appointed more women to the front bench of his cabinet. No surprise that the now opposition has jumped on this in order to perpetuate the myth that Abbott has a problem with women. Disappointingly it was lead story on most media outlets. If Abbott bowed to pressure he would be giving women a position based on gender and not on merit. He appointed the best people available at this time.

Hammer Time: May 2013

A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Monday, May 20, 2013. There has been much media attention towards the foreign aid part of the budget. Namely how it was not increased, as once promised. I feel like the focus on foreign aid is enhancing the entitlement culture that is prospering at the moment. All types of government handouts leads to decreased individual giving as the belief that the government will take care of it becomes prolific. Links to this post. Friday, May 17, 2013. The Gon...

Hammer Time: Motivation Is Key
http://onehammer.blogspot.com/2013/08/motivation-is-key.html
A venue where politics, sport and Christianity collide. Thursday, August 29, 2013. A lot of people advocate for responsible environmental practices. This is all good, as we all should look after our surroundings. It’s what motivates such calls that can be disturbing. There’s a plethora of examples where people are flouting the environment. Many need to be stopped. Not because we may be able to change temperature by a fraction of a degree, but because it is good for the environment to do so. But the fact ...
