Where I’ve been so far. As I headed north to Rumney, I thought about all of the places I knew I wanted to visit. Although it was late May, the day promised warmth above “normal” temperatures. By the time I got to Polar Caves. I was hot and sticky. Knowing the average temperature in the caves is 55 degrees, I was looking forward to a cool down. As I gathered my gear, I watched a chipmunk happily munching on the fallen pine cones…. A lovely covered bridge marks the beginning of the trail to the caves….

Where I’ve been so far. I love “Welcome” signs. Some towns use their welcome sign to promote certain highlights in the town while others simply announce you have arrived.
