Named after French presidents and army generals, fancy cafés like the Café de Rome, even a cathedral is there, the presidential palace, and a lot of hotels. You can see a lot of big 4-wheel-drive cars here, with people in it who must enjoy showing off their wealth driving these things through streets barely lit and with the garbage piled up. It's the perfect distance for day trips when we need to get away. And what a day trip this was. The trees in the picture are called Joshua Trees. They are a type of yucca tree.
