Tuesday, November 29, 2011. I love new stuff.who doesn't? Anyway, I bought a set of honeycomb grids and haven't really had the time to experiment on them properly. I need a very patient model. My oldest son, Kane tried, but lost patience soon enough. This is what he picked out of the bunch, not my thing, but hey, he's a teenager. Do you like them? Below is what I thought I was getting instead of those brown swirly frames. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Other Photographers and stuff.

Saturday, May 31, 2014. The ruins that almost ruined me. I just can't handle heat. It gets me all kerfuffled and annoyed. I get annoyed with myself and everyone around me. I get impatient and lose focus. So the second day in Tulum we went to the ruins via bicycle. A short 20 minute bike ride down the road and we were at the ruins. Sounds doable. Pppffffff! Get your head out of your ass and just pick a bike and ride it because that was going to be the least of your concerns. We can do this later. AFTE...

Monday, June 15, 2015. Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. I had to say something."I hope we're in the right house." The random dude (we're now FB friends) says, you're in that bedroom." as he points. Phew.he was expecting us. Yay! Morning came fast, but I felt well rested and the view from our bedroom was gorgeous. It looked out onto the Sound. The house we rented is the yellow on on the far right. This is the Sound the house faces. A kiters paradise. First sunset. Breath taking. Gorgeous. This is one of the...

Sunday, November 9, 2014. A Wedding in New York. Yep, I'm back! Back in New York City. It also happened to be the same day the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was delivered and erected so it was madness in the city. Lots of traffic and long delays. We walked the 11 blocks to collect the keys, our bags in tow and then walked back to our accommodation. Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. I wasn't buying the place and moving in, so whatever. Very yummy, you should go next time you're in NYC. The red shoes ...

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. We were both so taken in with the conversation that we forgot to take a photo, but he has to go back again as she ordered blood work to see what's going on with him now that it's all over. She needs to make sure there's no residual malaria lurking in the blood. I went to a farmer's market today and met this delightful little goat. So here he is! Isn't he just the cutest little kid ever? Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Meet Miss K and her family. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. A short...

Monday, June 4, 2012. Feeling quite adventurous in the kitchen. I decided to attempt to find a recipe for doubles, traditional Trinidadian street food. Doubles can be eaten any time of the day and are filling. A blend of spices awakens your taste buds as the begin to sing and dance. For those of you who cannot handle spicy food, this isn't for you. Perfect bara, thankyouverymuch. Here are the links to an awesome, easy to follow recipe for doubles followed by a recipe for tamarind sauce. Hey, that's ME!

Thursday, July 31, 2014. At last. I'd always wanted to go to Mopion. Saw it from the boat the last time we were in the Grens, but we never stopped. So yeah, finally! We are going to Mopion! A sand bar in the ocean with nothing on it but an umbrella. I already told you that, but what a sight. There's a reef that surrounds part of the dune and we anchor off the dune then take the dingy through the reef and onto the dune. Ahhh.it just doesn't get any better than this. It really doesn't. I had to do it.

Sunday, September 26, 2010. Here are the baby squirrels that were named after us. How cute are they! The nurses finally allowed Dereck to take a shower today. 13 days without a shower.yeah, he was feeling uncomfortable, but it was like running a marathon. He didn't realize how exhausted he would feel just from standing up in the shower. He's going to need some physio therapy to gain back his strength and learn how to breathe properly again. Friday, September 24, 2010. Day 11 afternoon and night. Sotill n...

Tuesday, February 1, 2011. The woman who wouldn't take no for an answer and other stuff. I can't believe I found the time to blog twice a day when Dereck was in the hospital and now it's an effort to post twice a month! Two weeks ago, Dereck had to be checked out by Dr. Philips so he could go back to work. His first flight assigned to him was Africa! L to R: Tyler, me, Dr. Philips and Dereck. So today is the first day of February.A lot happened in January. I traveled to St. Lucia to visit fri...On a gloo...
