Tales of adventure from a married couple in search for inspiration and a new life as they make their way around Europe. Thursday, October 28, 2010. A cold day in Paris. Jo asked with a guilty smile. I can't say I didn't entertain the thought. Alas we were on a mission to Hotel de Ville to catch the Batobus. I proudly replied. We exchanged the money for the tickets and boarded the boat. Now we were just cold. Looking around we saw the Batobus stop was only ten minutes walk away. Much love to yous all!

Are you going to eat that?: The glorious Ulster Fry
http://www.food.travellingcromptons.com/2011/01/glorious-ulster-fry.html
Are you going to eat that? The world is my kitchen. Sunday, 9 January 2011. The glorious Ulster Fry. There are many, many things to love about Northern Ireland. The stunning scenery, the friendliness of the people, the fascinating history. But for me there is one shining, glimmering star among our wee country's numerous glories - the Ulster Fry. If I believed in heaven, that is what an Ulster Fry would be. And while I may, on one occasion, have indulged in putting Vegemite on my toasted soda bread, this ...

Tales of adventure from a married couple in search for inspiration and a new life as they make their way around Europe. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Catching up to go again. The one thing it has made me realise is that I'm a terrible travel blogger as you can see from my poor neglected blog. So I'm going to do my best to do some catching up from where I left off. There are lots of tales, photos and a few vids that I have left to share. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Tales of adventure from a married couple in search for inspiration and a new life as they make their way around Europe. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Yes, hello, yes! I've been the worst travel blogger EVER but I am back. My biggest problem has been that I don't like how I used to write and operate this blog and i found that i was placing a lot of pressure on myself to post stuff. So I'm going to make a few changes which might see me actually post more often and perhaps post with a little more focus. Here's ...

Are you going to eat that?: Fat in France
http://www.food.travellingcromptons.com/2010/11/fat-in-france.html
Are you going to eat that? The world is my kitchen. Friday, 26 November 2010. What is it with the French and fat? For a nation so obsessed with fat, they are an irritatingly slim and chic lot. I mean breakfast consists of a pound of butter disguised as pastry, lunch is likely to involve several courses complete with dessert AND cheese, while duck fat at dinner is de rigeur. Or maybe that's just how I ate in France? Pass me another baguette, and don't hold the butter. Thankfully the day after that stupend...

Are you going to eat that?: The Cheat Day Files
http://www.food.travellingcromptons.com/2011/09/cheat-day-files.html
Are you going to eat that? The world is my kitchen. Saturday, 3 September 2011. The Cheat Day Files. Loving food and hating exercise has a tendency to ensure I am never described as willowy. 'Not quite fat' is probably more accurate. But, you know, whatever. I like to eat. So I try to eat pretty well 6 days out of 7 by eating lots of veg, beans and lean protein. But on Saturdays I eat WHATEVER I WANT! Sometimes on Cheat Day we eat out, but mostly we spend the best part of the day planning our meals, purc...
