Joy in the Journey

Joy in the Journey. Friday, August 7, 2015. Broken Arm, Swimming Lessons, Bike Riding, and D.C. Noah and his siblings loved their swimming lessons at the Troy Aquatic Park. I did too. I was impressed with how well Alexa and Noelle, the instructors, worked with each child at their ability level and how they weren't afraid to work with Noah with his limb differences. He wasn't afraid either. He really loves diving for rings. Noah wore his legs 7 hours in a row. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Look at him go!

Joy in the Journey: March 2015

http://www.travellingwithhim.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Joy in the Journey. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Kevin fitting Winter the dolphin with her prosthetic tail. Noah is wearing liners for protection and healing. These are made with the same gel they made for Winter. Kevin gave Noah silver socks to wear underneath the liners. The silver is supposed to help with healing also. Emme and Noah and I stopped at Kroger. We had a little train with Noah in his wheelchair. And Emme pushing a small cart. It worked rather well. The little gifts have been much enjoyed!

Joy in the Journey. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Much anticipated. Repeatedly discussed. Finally arrived. Thoroughly enjoyed. Mona loves everything with wheels! Gifts and hugs for the gift-givers. If you are going to ice your cake and store it in the oven for safe-keeping. And then turn on the oven to warm up some naan for lunch, this is the cake for you. Celebration began on birthday eve with a shopping outing and Steak and Shake supper with Grandpa and Grandma Brubaker. And of course, gifts. Awesome Inc&#...

http://www.travellingwithhim.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Joy in the Journey. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. As you can guess, pictures show a lot, but just moments in time. There is so much more, lots good, some hard. God is good! Caught Mona napping on this little bench. He goes full-speed until he wears out. When we picked Mona up at his orphanage, we got to see him and the other children do a couple worship dances and caught them on video. Here Mona, Alexa and Emme are watching one of the dances and joining in. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Joy in the Journey: May 2014

http://www.travellingwithhim.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Joy in the Journey. Saturday, May 10, 2014. We celebrated receiving verbal court approval on April 6th with lunch at Namaste India and some time outdoors at Cox Arboretum. Lots of joy, fun and silliness! When men and boys share in Easter egg hide-and-seek, it is a bit more adventurous! Our school year is winding down so we enjoyed a field trip to the Creation Museum with Colleen. And here we are at the big top! For an early celebration of Emme's 5th birthday. She didn't mind the early. :). So, what next?

Super help from great friends! We find baby bunnies and. Baby crawl-dads. Wondering if these guys will be ready to eat at Kids Kamp? Love is written all over this place. Posted by Homestead Living.

Homestead Living: Meet the family

http://jennie-warner.blogspot.com/p/meet-family.html

Why We Educate at Home. We were united together as one in 1998. The Lord is the head of our marriage. We desire to live for Him in all that we do. We strive to bring our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We fall so short so often and can be a bit messy at times. But by His grace, He continues to refine us. My extremely talented husband is by trade an architect, paramedic, fire f. Jeff enjoys Friday family/pizza night, fabricating new ideas, delving into farming, reading, making kettl...

Homestead Living: Passover Seder

http://jennie-warner.blogspot.com/2015/04/passover-seder.html

Why We Educate at Home. Sunday, April 19, 2015. This year we held a Passover Seder at the camp grounds. A Seder of Passover is a time of reading the story from Exodus ( 11:1-10 and 12:23-34). How the Lord freed His people from bondage. It is a time spent discussing the story, drinking four cups of wine (or in our case grape juice), eating matza or un-leavened bread, partaking of symbolic foods and rejoicing in our freedom that ultimately comes through Christ. Homestead Living: Why We Educate at Home

http://jennie-warner.blogspot.com/p/why-our-family-chooses-to-educate-at.html

Why We Educate at Home. Why We Educate at Home. Another year of schooling is quickly coming upon us. As I am organizing books and schedules for the upcoming year, I decided to take some time to share with you some of our reasons why we educate at home. Having God as the foundation of our education. This verse showed us several things. One being that God gave us, as Christian parents, the responsibility to teach and train our children. We desire to have our children under our protection. 8221; (Jeremiah 1...

Travels without George

Our life on the road/water starting in the summer of 2007. Sunday, August 9, 2015. For a pair of political junkies such as ourselves this is a great time to be travelling with a satellite dish.  It hasn’t been without challenges but we finally have a system that works to allow us to take our TV with us on the road.  And we’re solidly on the road for roughly the next month. This spring I bought us a Winegard carryout dish. Posted by Jorgito's dad. Monday, August 3, 2015. With the door out of the way the n...

Travelling With Grace

Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Here are the first fruits on our young tree tomato, known in some places as the tomarillo. Now the long cold, wet winter has finally passed, and it has been time to rejuvenate our food garden - clear the mint that has been set on food garden domination, recondition the soil with compost and worm castings, and plant new seeds and seedlings. We can look forward to spinach, celery, strawberries, Italian parsley, radishes, pumpkins, parsnips, carrots and some real tomatoes! I don't ...

Travelling with the Guitar

Travelling with the Guitar. I've been called a groupie, a roadie, a coolie. but all I really am is wife to my guitar-playing husband who travels some. I get to tag along, to take me away from the monotony of obsessive house cleaning. Here, I log our adventures with food, airlines, hotels, food, organisers, fans, food, people, books I read. Did I say 'food' already? Well, someone's got to tell people what life's like on the road, right? Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Did I miss Father's Day? Then you can decid...
