Friday, November 27, 2009. It was a 45 minute drive from Boise to Jump Creek Canyon, so I left an hour before sunrise for the morning light. I thought the sun wouldn't actually light the canyon rim until around 9:00am, but since I hadn't been to this location before, I didn't want to take a chance on missing the first light.
