Tricia Bos

Friday, October 10, 2014. From photo to drawing . The drawing is never 100 percent accurate (at least not with me), but the beauty of it lies in the marvel of the illusion. Those are all just lines. Lots and lots of lines :). Thursday, October 9, 2014. More time to sketch :). Again, in storyboard pro. Thinking about camping things. My beautiful old puppy . I felt like drawing Calvin. Storyboard Pro is good for sketching too, it would seem :). Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Real pen on real paper :). I find it...

Tricia Bos: December 2008

http://triciabos.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 29, 2008. Another portrait in ink and marker. What I love about it, is that it's a once through kind of a thing . with no room for mistakes :). If it works, it's an accomplishment. This is Melanie and her mom. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Tricia Bos: January 2009

http://triciabos.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 19, 2009. I never knew this woman, but I would have liked to. I know her family, and I was honoured to be present as they celebrated her going on to be with our Lord. Over the past couple of days I learned a lot about the person she was, and I wish to remember her for myself. This drawing is, for me, a way to do that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tricia Bos: August 2014

http://triciabos.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Real pen on real paper :). It's good for the soul. This was one of the most peaceful hours I've have spent in a long time . just me, sitting in my tent, drawing what I could see, while the rest of the world slept. I love the challenge of a pen drawing on paper. Using a very fine tip pen makes anything possible though, because each line is just another hatch in a mess of hatch lines :). Thursday, August 21, 2014. These sketches keep me sane some days . Wednesday, August 13, 2014.

Tricia Bos: October 2010

http://triciabos.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 21, 2010. Jodi - full portrait. Well, it's still just a sketch, but this is the full portrait. Pencil on cardstock seemed like a good idea at first, but the surface ended up being far too smooth for the deep textured look that I prefer in portraits. I am looking forward to getting some good Stonehenge and trying again. Labels: tricia bos portrait jodi pencil sketch. I am determined to get this one right . This is a cropped version of the full portrait. Saturday, October 2, 2010.

tricia booker's my left hook | curious digressions by a writer fighter mom

Curious digressions by a writer fighter mom. Being adopted isn’t always easy for my babies. July 30, 2015 / 11 Comments. When the Tyrant’s temper grabs hold of her senses, it’s like a rogue wave has struck the area. All must seek shelter except me, the mother, who must dive in and somehow calm the seas. She flails and throws stuff; her beloved Teddy doubles as a weapon. In this way, she’s a lot like her brother, and since both children spent the first few months of their lives in the same Read More.

Tricia Booker Photography | Capturing images, words and horses.

Capturing images, words and horses. July 31, 2015. It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer has flown by! I’ve been home just two days in the past month or so, and Cam and I counted 11 states I’ve visited since the school year ended. Most of my travels were for work, but I did find time to enjoy 10 days in Michigan, where we rented a cottage on Lake Charlevoix. As much as I’d hoped the Internet connection would be strong as I planned the trip to […]. Afternoon at the Feeder. June 30, 2015. June 6, 2015.

triciaborchardt | Cushing's Disease experiences

Cushing's Disease experiences. February 10, 2015. I haven’t written in awhile. After reviewing my previous posts, I am a bit impressed that I could articulate so well even during the worst of this recovery. Unlike some, I did not discover blogging or facebook support groups until six months into my recovery. Three years after successful surgery for pituitary tumor (Cushing’s Disease). February 7, 2014. Slow and steady wins the race? Cushie’s are the ultimate turtles! Here’s hoping that year three g...

Some of my fondest memories are afternoons spent painting with my grandfather in a sunlit room in his house outside of Philadelphia. He spent endless hours encouraging my natural obsession with drawing and painting and I feel an echo of his patience and love each time I start a new piece.
