Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. Wednesday, November 12, 2014. What I learned from a decade of fear / Aprendizajes de una decada de miedo. Our multimedia conversation / interview / interrogation about what a decade of security paranoia has done to us and who has paid for our safety. We are wondering how to reinvent trust, at the level of culture, in a way that lets us - or lets people in public - talk about it again as a serious goal for our media and politicians. It's the latest work up at Aluna Theatre.

I was interviewed yesterday by Mary Ito from CBC's Saturday morning show, Fresh Air. She asked me about something I wrote on this blog, one or two entries ago, about what I meant when I said that we try to move towards beauty and not anger. First thought: someone reads this blog? It's like we're going back to the seventies, with everything closing for the weekend. I live in the city because I like bacon and eggs at weird times, and I can get it here. Used to get it here. Is the world around me finally slowing down? Should I embrace this? Maybe the high-heat 24-7 pace just isn't human after all. Too bad I still have a deadline for Sunday. I'm a freelanc...

One of the recurring images in our show - Nohayquiensepa (No one knows) is the idea of telling someone else's story. Or telling a story about them. You like to think: for them. I think we can do that, which is often harder than to give them a straight up, factual brief on a pressing issue. NOW preview of the show. Posted by trev @ 12:42 AM. Links to this post:.
