About – FAQs – Contact Info. A list of the things loved Down Under…. Laquo; No. 9: Tim Tams. No 10: Bacon and Egg Roll. 06/11/2011 by Amy in Oz. Bacon and Egg Roll. Ithin my first week in Australia, I was introduced to the bacon and egg roll for. Brekkie. Had I ever tried a bacon and egg roll in my life before coming Australia? Yes, possibly, but most likely not the way that it’s done Down Under. More than just a cure for a hangover, the bacon and egg roll seems to me to be one of Australia’s. There are ...

An art teacher in Denver: August 2012

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Crater Lake - an Unexpected Surprise. Thankfully, Garry remained tough and we continued our road trip because Crate Lakes was really beautiful - I was not expecting it to be so amazing. The water inside the Crater was the most wonderful ultra marine blue - I called it Brett Whiteley Blue. We were lucky to spot some wildlife both at our camping ground and while exploring in and around the park. We spott...

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. We have been spending so much time getting organised that we decided to have some family time today. We set off for the open air ice skating rink in the middle of the city. It was very reasonable - only $2 per person to rent skates and free to skate. We arrived full of anticipation. To our surprise Max held onto the edge and proceeded to complete a number of laps. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. After a long...

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Sunday, January 13, 2013. We had a wonderful time in New York and were ready to head for home. Arriving at the airport three hours plus before our flight of six hours to LA and then a two hour layover before embarking on a fifteen hour final leg to Sydney was daunting! It was great to land and be back on Australian soil. January 14, 2013 at 8:18 PM. Beautiful beach and clear water. A great pic,too Jo. They don't tell you. The Adventu...

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Sunday, September 30, 2012. Testing of Tequila and Mezcal. Our next stop was at an arts and crafts centre that specialised in making its own Tequila and Mezcal along with selling many sculptures, jewelry, pottery, onyx, replicas of Teotihuacan masks. During our visit we were shown some local customs. First was a custom of usage of agava (maguey in Mexico). Then they showed us the various symbolic meanings of the obsidian carved statu...

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Sunday, December 30, 2012. Picasso and The Guggenheim. I have wanted to visit the Guggenheim for such a long time and today I was able to combine this amazing gallery and Picasso! Snow was on the ground and it was freezing outside - thankfully we were arriving early in the day and were able to walk in without lining up outside. The view from the ground floor up was simply beautiful. The view from the top looking down was superb.

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. A Day at the MoMA. Today we headed for the infamous Museum of Modern Art otherwise known as MoMA. It was another cold start to the day. Being New Year's Eve we thought that today would possibly be a good day to visit as the crowds might be down. We lined up for more than half an hour just to purchase admission tickets. Then we were shocked at the hour plus line for the cloak room! It was a great, but long da...

An art teacher in Denver: February 2012
http://anartteacherindenver.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. A Roadtrip to Yellowstone - Part 3. We found it very difficult to wake early today in preparation for another day in Yellowstone - today on snow mobiles. It was still really cold outside and had not stopped snowing since lunch time the previous day - it looked like a dump of six or seven inches overnight. Poor Yas was finding the going tough, she was very cold and wanted to go home. On the other end ...

An art teacher in Denver. The adventures of Jo, Garry, Yasemin and Max. Saturday, January 19, 2013. This one's for you Susan. It has taken us a while to settle in, recover from jet lag and the terrible flu we came home with from New York. The heat has taken some getting used to! Two days ago we had a record breaking day with soaring temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius or 113 in Fahrenheit, in Wollongong. The kids have been loving the beach and are loving the surf. Sunday, January 13, 2013. To say it was a...
